Wales will soon be like Morocco
Why our famous Welsh sheep could disappear because of climate change
Could Welsh sheep be wiped out by climate change?
They have forever been seen as a symbol of Wales – for better or worse. But now the humble Welsh sheep has been issued a stark warning in the face of climate change: “adapt or die”.
A leading animal geneticist says the country’s current lowland ovine stock is “vulnerable” to climate change – and may have to be replaced en masse with more suitable breeds if the situation is not managed.
Professor Mike Bruford, from Cardiff University’s School of Biosciences, who has spent two years mapping the genetic codes of sheep in Morocco in a bid to unlock what adaptations allow sheep to live in extremely hot, dry conditions and in much wetter conditions.
Humbug. The Welsh sheep died out in the furnace of the MWP.
It’s a matter of time before people in Wales will be able to pick roast lamb direct from the field in July and August.
It’s either that or ship the sheep to Greenland ASAP.
And import new sheep from Morocco, including shepherds.
“Vulnerable to climate change” “could” “may” and other alarmist propaganda scare words are coming at us from all sides of the Big Green Machine.
Perhaps, maybe, could be the BGM is feeling a bit vulnerable to extinction due to a dearth of facts to substantiate their ridiculous claims; so they are doubling down.
Maybe there will be part of the mass extinction that the BBC foresees –
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01hjs0s#broadcasts
A good program until the last 10 minutes or so when “…extinction events in deep time has any relevance and offers insights on the levels of man-made extinction of species on the planet today and how our biodiversity crisis may develop in the future. The interviewees in this programme say yes.” Along with lots of blather about CO2 destroying the planet. BBC at its proselytizing best, toeing the line about man-made global destruction.
Refrain: They’re all nuts.
Wales is a mostly mountainous region down wind of the North Atlantic. If there is any region in the world that is likely to remain unaffected by a general warming trend it’s Wales.
