Dinosaurs’ digestive gases linked to global warming
LOS ANGELES — Dinosaurs’ gassy guts may have contributed to global warming tens of millions of years ago, according to a new study that finds a group of plant-eating dinosaurs could have produced about as much methane as all of today’s natural and man-made sources of the greenhouse gas.
One hundred ninety million years ago, dinosaurs started eating at Taco Bell and drove themselves to extinction.
IMPORTANT! Dr. Hansimian says “Pay no attention to the decline in temperatures which occurred after CO2 increased in the mid Jurassic.”
Scientists achieve new levels of stupidity every day – in pursuit of the $100 billion global warming slush fund.
I heard this item on the 8AM CNN radio news this morning while driving to work. All I can say is that I was so happy that I did not have a mouthful of coffee when I heard it because I would have ruined my clothes and the interior of my car. I could not stop laughing.
I learned to never start reading things on this site while eating or drinking. It tends to get messy and fluid in the nose hurts. 😉
One only has to apply a little common sense to this. Dinosaurs make their methane how? By digesting plant matter. Plants get their CO2 from where? The atmosphere. So all the methane the dinosaurs were releasing was actually atmosperic CO2 already in the atmospheric and plant biosphere. They cant add one bit of extra CO2 because they couldn’t dig sequestered CO2 out of the oceans or ground. They are only able to access CO2 already in the atmosphere through plants. I’m sorry, but if none of these so called intellectuals can figure out this simple fact, then they are complete idiots.
The best a dinosaur can do is slow down the sequestration of CO2 from the atmosphere. They can not facilitate a large increase. Most of the CO2 in plants end up back in the atmosphere anyway, (or co2 would plummet fast and life would be over) so dinosaurs have zero effect. Such a stupid attempt to prop up the CO2 gravy train, they should be made to pay back the grant money.
…it’s CO2 neutral, just like ethanol
Not counting all the fossil fuels the use to make the ethanol of course. lol
