There is no evidence that this is occurring, or that London or New York are in any danger of drowning. The IPCC forecasts only 18-59 cm of sea level rise this century, yet the MSM has picked up Hansen’s wildly ridiculous claims of “dead certain multi-metre sea level rise.”
The consensus of scientists say that Hansen’s recycled 110 year old paranoia is incorrect, but the press is only interested in consensus when it supports alarmism.
Yelling fire in a crowded theatre is not acceptable.
Hansen, and his predictions of “boiling oceans” is a transparent blatant scare-mongering bullshitter and liar, like the rest of them. My wuwt comment:
To assume that these guys strive to be honest is wrong. Their own words, over and over again, have telegraphed their lying ways, plain as day.
Many of the quotes that we have are from before the internet, done in small gatherings or small publications in which they thought their words wouldn’t reach the full public arena. The internet made it easy to broadcast their true intentions. They call the public the “little people;” and because the public plays a role in democracy, these little people are to be duped and deceived, not respected. Do we need any more proof than the following quotes?

The problem with Hansen is that he makes claims that he is dead certain or 99% sure of his position. Then later he either adjusts his predicted warming down, or starts looking around for an ad hoc auxiliary hypotheses to explain why he can’t find the missing ocean heat content he originally calculated, etc.
