It was 94 degrees in Washington on May 24, 1925. That was three degrees warmer than the warmest temperature recorded in Washington so far this year – which NOAA says was the hottest year ever.

A two-fer! The article implies that 1874 in DC was at least as hot as 1925, which was warmer than 2012 maybe hotter.
But all thermometers were broken then, and people couldn’t tell time, and they couldn’t read temperature, so no worries…It is a doggone shame when the past isn’t allowed to meet the SciPols pre-conceived notions of a low-CO2 world.
