Al’s Journal : Biggest disaster area in US history from recent extreme weather
No doubt the current mild climate is worse than the Dust Bowl – but it is worse than it seems. Something fishy is going on with the official data. Most of the drought area has received heavy rain over the last two weeks (as much as 12 inches in Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee) but the US drought monitor shows the drought getting much worse.
I have been in contact with The US Drought Monitor and Rich Tinker at NOAA. They promised an explanation by last Friday, but I haven’t received it yet.
Decidedly, we have come to live in a virtual world…
This is bullshit. The drought was WAY worse back in 2006-2007. We’re not even on water restrictions here I don’t think.
every report I find yakking up the no rain crap, i post your links..even if only a few look its a help to correct the Lies.
It rained again the night before last and yesterday here is Phoenix AZ; and yes monsoon rains in Summer are typical to this area. It was a beautiful, mild spring here, and so far Summer has been reasonable and mild for a scorching desert.
I have started picking pumpkins from my garden (already got the cucumbers) and will be cooking pumpkin soup today. The entire spring and summer has been farmer weather; warm, a bit humid, nice rains in March and now this monsoon season.
Oh, and so far the monsoons have just been rainstorms – no billowing clouds of sand followed by horizontal rain – and I’m not saying we won’t get any like that, but I bring it up since there haven’t been any photo-op nasty looking man-made CO2 caused storms you probably won’t see any scary pictures in the national media. I mean, how exciting is a nice summer rain sprinkling?
He may be a buffoon but Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management LLP pocketed approximately $17.8 million on it’s 2.98% share of the exchange when it was sold to the publicly traded Intercontinental Exchange.
And Generation Investment Management LLP? A quick look here says a lot

Monsanto is behind this data manipulation–
it will make billions from the defective data.
Look behind the oz curtain.
Wow, Al HUGE FAIL, the exact same areas he says are experiencing extreme drought and wildfires are getting heavy amounts of rain, with not much end in sight. If this is what “climate change looks like” I want some more of it, because the rain is really nice, keeping things nice and cool, and keeping my lawn green. I guess the Gore Effect has come out in full force of recent.

Steven, please let us know when (and if) you receive a reply from Rich Tinker at NOAA. Many would like to see his explanation. Thank you again for your great and tireless efforts to keep science, and our government, honest.
The very definition of droughtflood is that floods do not end droughts. Droughtfloods never used to happen when CO2 was below 350 PPM. A consensus (97%) of child molestors agree that droughtflood is caused by manmade Global Weirding and jetstream disruption.
In the Nashville, TN area, the rain has FINALLY stopped after two straight weeks non-stop. Hopefully this break in the weather will last long enough for me to play golf today as the forecast calls for rain, every day, for at least the next ten days. I won’t survive anymore of this drought without SCUBA gear!
It rained here pretty good 4 days in a row. That’s unusual without a hurricane system in place. We’re not even in drought restrictions, or at least I haven’t heard about it on the local news. And they usually badger us when water restrictions are in place.
Yet, we have a historical drought here.
This is purely political rather than scientific, and probably has something to do with emergency money spending. The Dept. of Agriculture declaring something is different from rain/drought data. Why is Florida (not in drought by any measure) a disaster area (? to get Obama votes)? While the U.S. is having a dry season, we’ll know in retrospect how severe it was when we get the results of the harvest. Somehow, I suspect that we won’t starve, though the drought and corn ethanol mandates will worsen food inflation.
The Dept. of Agriculture on the home page has a direct link to it’s “Climate Change” section – http://www.usda.gov/oce/climate_change/.

“I have been in contact with The US Drought Monitor and Rich Tinker at NOAA. They promised an explanation by last Friday, but I haven’t received it yet.”
It is a “narrative”. They are going to play it out.
Money is going to get passed out because of “drought” conditions. More political pandering.
Watching and listening to Al Gore is worse than getting teeth pulled. I’d much rather watch and listen to Mrs. Cotillard.

Much more pleasant.
Didn’t he perform very poorly in science when he was younger?
