The average of all measured USHCN temperature data in Arizona shows a long term cooling trend, with recent years being among the coolest on record.
A cooling trend just didn’t fit the story line of permanent southwest heat and drought, so our government took the liberty of rewriting Arizona’s history.
I’ve never understood drawing straight lines through an oscillating time series.
Did Phoenix even exist in 1900? Same with other AZ cities. Those may be the greatest example of UHI increase anywhere in the world. How much did NCDC take that into account?
I guess it was horse exhaust that caused that late 1800’s heat wave. Ole Wyatt Earp must have been sweating bullets (while shootin’ em) back when Arizona was naturally hot.
The Govenment keeps deliberately altering past climate records to fit in with their CAGW hoax and there does not seem to be any way to stop them. It’s only a matter of time, under this Administration, that they destroy or “lose” the raw data.
It simply has not been all that hot here in Phoenix for at least the last four years. Here a heatwave takes us over 115 F or as we say it, “into the ‘teens”, and these last few years we have not had that many really hot summers. Each passing cool year, I wonder if we are going to get a hot summer and lately have been disappointed.
This year spring was quite mild (Actually the most beautiful spring in Phoenix I can recall – you should see my garden!) and summer has been entirely tolerable. Today and tomorrow 112 F is forecast coming down to a high of 106 F on Wednesday. 106 F in July in Phoenix is as close as we get to “balmy”.
Compared to today, it appears they were “Braising Arizona” in the 1890s
More like “Adjusting Arizona” before the satellite era of the late 1970s. (heck, they’re even doing it during the satellite era)
Oh, how about “Manipulating Massachusetts” or even “Altering Alaska”. I’m sure the NCDC has done both of these.
“Fiddling with Florida” ……”Tailoring Texas” heck, I could do this all day. It’s amazing though that any person or organization would go to such lengths to cover up such a prodigious lie in order to keep their funding going and taking the risk of not only spoiling their reputation, but the entire field of climate science. (if there even is one now)
