Yale University : Global Warming Is Measured By A Few Months Of Weather Over 1% Of The Planet

Weather may be changing public opinion on global warming

our resurgent belief in global warming seems to be a function of the weather. A separate Yale survey this spring found that 82 percent of Americans had personally experienced extreme weather or natural disasters in the past year. And 52 percent said they believed the weather had been getting worse overall in recent years, compared to just 22 percent who thought it had gotten better.

Sixty-nine percent of respondents in that March poll went on to say that they believed global warming was affecting the weather in the United States. And that was before the Colorado wildfires and the most recent wave of storms and heat in the Midwest and Northeast, which have brought renewed media attention to climate change. The number might well top 70 percent today.

Weather may be changing public opinion on global warming

Apparently the US never had storms, heatwaves or fires before, and it is all due to CO2. Thank you Yale for helping to restore ignorance and superstition to America.

So , where did they conduct the poll at ? The streets of Washington DC ? They conduct their polls where and in a way that they will get the results they want. The farmers in the midwest that are suffering right now have enough knowledge to know that weather and bad weather happens. Why not conduct their poll among farmers ? Because they will not get the global warming mantra spouted by farmers who watch the weather their whole lives.

Do they teach proper methodology at Yale, a respected academic institution?
Do they publish the results, and explain the strengths and limitations of the survey method, and draw appropriate conclusions based on the result?

Dr. Curry has a nice article on “consensus” at her blog.

Don’t expect much in the way of Academic accuracy from Yale on this issue.

It appears they’re quite big on AGW/CC, Green and environmental studies. They were one of the prime authors of the UN propaganda IPCC Synthesis report.

In less than a year, I have been traumatized by five great (media circuses) disasters, the earthquake, Hurricane (?) Irene, Tropical Storm Lee, the heatwave and last but not least the Derecho!! All unprecedented and clearly due to the evil fossil fuel industry!

    • I fortunately missed the earthquake and Irene by a week, and then enjoyed six months of near perfect weather in Maryland – which was later described as “extreme”
