CARACAS, Venezuela — Ecuador announced Thursday that it was granting political asylum to Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, who has been holed up for two months in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London awaiting the decision.

The move leaves Mr. Assange with protection from arrest only on Ecuadorean territory, meaning he could only leave the embassy for Ecuador with British cooperation.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Or in a laundry van with diplomatic plates, driven by the ambassador, up the ramp of an Ecuadorian cargo plane …
Which has not been fuelled since landing.
Apparently the Swedish are a bit annoyed with the Ecuador’s comments
“The Swedish government reacted angrily to Mr Patino’s suggestion that Mr Assange would not be treated fairly by its justice system, summoning Ecuador’s ambassador to explain.”
I’m sure Sweden is a despotic state compared to the liberal and far sighted Ecuadorian one…..
Cough
Andy
Let him live forever in their embassy. It is as good as prison, plus saves us, Sweden, and the U.K. the expense of trying and imprisoning him. Maybe they’ll have him clean toilets and scrub floors.
Stuff Ecuador are UK gov should arrest the pervert and throw away the know I even better send him to Philippines were its death penalty for sick perverts like him
So are you saying the UK has a problem with this kind of thing?
No it’s just you! 😆
