August 10, 1936 – Hottest Day In Arkansas History

Temperatures today were about 20 degrees cooler than 76 years ago.

NOAA says 2012 is the hottest summer ever.

    Was looking at the weather models and if they have any validity, summer east of the Rockies is basically over. In fact by late next week, some downright October like air should be plunging down from the Arctic into the US.

    1934 and 1936 had ridiculously hot Julys followed by extremely hot Augusts. Not this year. I think the pattern flip that Joe Bastardi talked about might be taking place.
