Climate change is here — and worse than we thought
James E. Hansen directs the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
When I testified before the Senate in the hot summer of 1988 , I warned of the kind of future that climate change would bring to us and our planet. I painted a grim picture of the consequences of steadily increasing temperatures, driven by mankind’s use of fossil fuels.
But I have a confession to make: I was too optimistic.

How could anyone have known in 1988 that by 2012 a key player at NASA would completely dissociate himself from any semblance of veracity, integrity or human decency?

Fear of “nuclear fires” that consumed Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 Aug and 9 Aug 1945, respectively, separated world leaders from this reality about sixty-seven years (2012 – 1945 = 67 yrs) ago:

Today, after sixty-six years (2012 – 1946 – 66 yrs) of deception on the source of energy (E) stored as mass (m) in cores of atoms and stars:

Did someone warn George Orwell in 1947: Deception leads to tyranny ?
History confirms his 1948 writings, published in 1949, and entitled “1984”

Can the next generation prevent misinformation from further enslaving us?
Only if we find a way to bypass misinformation being given to our children on the benevolent source of energy that made our elements, sustains our lives and controls Earth’s climate:

How this buffoon Hansen continues to keep his US Government job is a mystery to those of us who have worked for the US Government.
He has a huge constituancy – in and out of government. Even his nominal boss had to tread carefully around him (an incident from 3-4 years ago when NASA’s (then) director expressed very measured doubts about AGW, was castigated by Famous Jimmy, and hastily retracted).
He’s still pretty big on college campuses – wonder what kind of speaking fees he commands.
