Hansen Is Defiling US History

The summer of 1936 was much hotter than the summers of 2011 or 2012. Hansen is a disgrace to NASA and science in general.

In July 2012, Des Moines, IA’s high temperature averaged 5 degrees warmer than nearby Marshalltown and Ames. It would be interesting to check 1936 to see if such differences existed. Do you think our alarmist friends will adjust Des Moines cooler because it is not representative? Or Reagan National in DC?

The following comment on Tom Nelsons site says it in one paragraph.

Hansen is not deterred by the comparison of global temperature rises to his ’88 projections (or AR4). The close match of Scenario C to observation do not cause him embarrasment because observations that do not match his predictions are mere variations within the uncertainty bar. He is a believer in his models as Harold Camping was a believer in his Biblical interpretations.

Hansen has gone off the reservation. 😉 It’s now high time Nasa acted against this loose canon with loose lips.

It seems that Hansen and Harry Reid had the same ethics professor.

    • Wait, are you talking about the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Mason Reid who is alleged to have raped & murdered dozens of children? The alleged pederast? I would be shocked if James Hansen had any connection to child sex trafficking and slavery.

      • gator69 says:

Yep, that Harry Reid. And all he has to do to clear himself is prove a negative, it’s not like he’s running for President or anything.

      • johnmcguire says:

Hey Stark , I gotta say I’m amazed to hear those allegations . As I don’t have or watch a television I don’t hear about a lot of things unless I see them on Drudge or one of the few science sites I go to . I dislike having to spend a lot of time on the computer and miss many things . But I usually don’t miss missing them if you know what I mean. I’ve never liked Harry Reid as he has always seemed a dishonest sleaze in my opinion , but just recently I’ve been reading hints of allegations of sexual questionable behavior . Yours is the most open allegation I’ve encountered and I’m curious how he can get away with that if true. I already think he should be thrown out of office and prosecuted but if he has gone this route Maybe hanging is in order. The statement murdered dozens of children is shocking even in this day and age.

Hansen projection have been just so accurate over the decades. A true master of the art.

  4. Doug Proctor says:

All problems with Hansen, as with Christopher field before Congress, comes down to him knowing that nobody will call him out, nobody above him will require him to justify his statements and issue retractions where appropriate.

In western Canada we just had the revelation that a senior government bureaucrat charging $305,000 in bizarre expenses over a four-year period – ending in 2008. We just heard about it. Forget the “why” we just found out. Ask the why it went on for four years: because nobody was looking or nobody who was looking wanted to say anything. It’s the same with Hansen and Field.

Within their organizations there have got to be those who cringe as we outisiders do. I see it in big business: the bizarre stories told to the public are internally ridiculed, or at least questioned strongly. But nobody asks the ones who know, and the ones who speak are not accountable.

Get the technical people in front of Congress. Get the ones who gather and analyze the data that the Hansen’s spout in front of a panel, under oath, on TV. Then see what happens (after you give them protection from being fired).

The truth is only a couple of layers deeper.

When he said his projections from his congress hearing in 1988 was right he must know that he lies. And he must know that anyone with half a brain and a graph from the satellite data will know that he lies. The only one left to believe him are the ones that ignore the science behind his claims, and that’s a scary thought.
