The number of Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits was unchanged last week, pointing to a labor market that was treading water.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits were a seasonally adjusted 374,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. The prior week’s figure was revised up to show 2,000 more applications than previously reported.

I actually had a customer start in on how great obama was doing and how the country has all these problems due to bush . It is difficult to gently lead an idealog to the path of truth , he left apparently as stupid as he came as he did not listen to any of the facts I presented . Possibly he will ponder on the conversation but I will not hold my breath . The man was over fifty years old too . Almost four years have passed and it is still bush’s fault .
