I disagree. Cost was already no object for this fugitive. Why go on the cheap at the very end of the chase after spending millions to get this close? He should have been captured and continually waterboarded for a year until every shred of intelligence was compiled and analyzed. Then we could make him disappear at our leisure on our timetable.
Killing him quickly was not justice for all his victims, they did him an unnecessary favor.
The real story we can deduce is that President Dingelbarry did not want him alive because he is too cowardly to greenlight intensive interrogation, so he ordered no heartbeat at any cost. It is the only logical conclusion.

Barry was raised both as a Communist and a Moslem, he is buddies with Bill Ayers and other crooked Chicago politicians. He hates America, period. Had the U.S. been smart, they would have spliced Osama bin Laden into a bunch of gay porn videos, and released them to discredit the Jihadist movement in the eyes of Islamists.
According to Bissonnette, bin Laden was already dead, or at least dying, when SEALs entered a bedroom and opened fire on his body.
