Time Magazine Goes Full Stupid On Drought

Why the Drought Won’t Be Getting Better Anytime Soon — and Why This One Won’t Be the Last

The droughts gets broader and deeper, covering more than three-fifths of the continental U.S. And scientific studies show that this sort of drought could only be the beginning

That is brilliant. Droughts happen every few years. Fortunately we haven’t had a repeat of the 1930s or 1950s recently.

As a kid I used to read my dad’s Time magazines when he was finished with them. Then my parents gave me my own subscription, which I read from cover to cover each week for years. Then, about eight or nine years ago, they chose for their cover the picture of an American soldier cowering behind a wall. I cannot recall what the caption was, but it was disgusting to behold, and I promptly canceled my subscription.

Time, like many other ‘news’ vehicles, has become pure propaganda. It is getting hard to distinguish between Time, Rolling Stone, and the Daily Worker.

Similar thing with me gator. Used to get Canadian Geographic, (similar to National Geographic), until they came up with a fully biased eco article that I new was complete BS, and stopped my subscription right there….

Everybody knows you never go full retard, except Time, National Geographic, Rolling Stone, The Daily Worker… ext.

With this, I’m waiting for massive flooding to occur in the Midwest after the drought ends because dam operators, convinced that the drought is permanent, keep their reservoirs as full as possible, leaving no extra rooms for flooding rains.

We have already seen this happen in Australia last year.

Like other major news outlets, Time magazine makes its money by selling sensationalism. The reporting doesn’t need to be truthful; it just needs to increase circulation and sell ads.

Time editors are licking their chops over the global warming scare. It gives the magazine plenty of opportunities to promote the global warming myth with dramatic sky-is-falling headlines. Why report the truth when you can fatten the bottom line with scare stories about an impending planetary meltdown?

If reporter Bryan Walsh had spent a few minutes doing research, he would have realized very quickly that all the fear-mongering about increasing droughts is 100 percent baloney. But then he wouldn’t have had a story.

If it really were just ‘selling sensationalism’, then how did they miss this? It does not get more sensational than this…

I read Root’s story yesterday and passed it along to others. Time won’t cover the story, because it would threaten Obama’s relection chances. The corporate-owned lamestream media (most of the presstitutes are leftists) are doing everything in their power to protect “their guy,” who happens to be Obama.

If Root had made the same charges against Romney, the leftwing scribbers and talking heads would be all over the story. It would be covered nonstop by every major network and every major newspaper.

I stopped paying attention to the establishment press long ago. The good news: many of these two-bit propaganda organs are losing their shirts. Viewers and readers are fed up with the slanted news and are turning to the Internet blogosphere and alternative media for their information.

This blog is a good example of a site that offers real science — not the warmed-over establishment fairy tales passed off as “news” by mainstream flacks and stenographers.

This is of course only until the Leftists in America mimic their counterparts in Europe and subsidize their socialist MSM. -Paul

      Kirkmyers,

One has to wonder why these magazines failed to capitalize on ClimateGate 1.0 in November of 2009. I remember back then reading about it in the Wall Street Journal and that’s how I got started researching this topic. I thought for sure the weekly magazines would pick up the story – what a great story – what a huge magazine selling opportunity. But no. They buried it. Why did they do that? Why do they still print obvious lies and nonsense when the truth would be much juicier?

It has actually taken me a couple of years to wake up that there is an orchestrated effort to lie and mislead the public on more than just this issue. This isn’t about selling magazines. This is a propaganda war. It is unsettling to consider what is going on right now.

Why is this happening? What is the point?

      • kirkmyers says:

I agree that the skeptics (i.e. climate realists) are in a war against a very well-funded and powerful adversary. There is a tremendous amount of money at stake for the Warmists in the form of energy taxes, carbon trading, research funding, and alternative energy contracts. The alarmists won’t go quietly into the night.

The good news is that the science — as opposed to the junk science peddled by the alarmists — is on the side of the skeptics. The shrill pronouncements of doom by the Gang Green crowd in government and academia are beginning to fall on deaf ears. Most people can spot a scam when they see one.

The drought centered on the Midwest corn belt, thus its economic impact is large relative to its size.

  7. philjourdan says:

Minor clarification on your headline. One cannot “go” somewhere if they have always been there.

  8. habilus says:

Reminds me of the August 2006 cover of National Geographic. The cover is a satellite image of hurricane Katrina with the caption: KILLER HURRICANES, No end in sight!

Here we are 6 years later, where are all the hurricanes?
