Now, if the comment about 2012 being warmer than 1936 concerns the year-to-date period (January-July) rather than August, there is no real “contest.” 2012 has been far warmer than 1936. The January-July 2012 mean temperature for the contiguous U.S. was 56.41°F. The same period in 1936 had a mean temperature of 51.78°F. The last time any January-July period was at least as cool was 1993 with a mean temperature of 51.32°F.
Nothing like using fabricated data from agenda driven zealots to “prove” a fraudulent premises.
