Clock Accuracy Vs Consistency

A broken clock is completely consistent. It always reads the same value, and is exactly correct twice a day.

According to Arctic rent seeking logic. we should trust broken clocks over functional ones.

    I wonder why they don’t use the same logic when they are trying to find the trend in world temperature they are constantly making adjustments to past readings perhaps they should just go on measuring temperature in the same old way.

    many of us have relied on a clock, which was consistently 5 minutes early.

    much better than one, which is sometimes early, sometimes late.
