It is almost 8:00 and temperatures are still in the mid-40s in Fort Collins. Too cold for a comfortable bike ride in shorts and a T-shirt. I miss summer already.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

You and me both.
I’m OK with a little cold. The worst of it is when there is ice and snow covered ice (the worst). Too many cars and bad intersections between me and the bike trails where at least the worst that can happen is a bad fall.
Riding a bike in snow is absolutely no fun.
Riding a bike in snow is absolutely
nofun.Fixed that for you.
Confession: I’m a year-round cyclist who absolutely loves going on frivolous snow-rides, on a fixed gear road bike, sometimes brakeless.

It’s not bad if you’ve got good tires (with metal studs) and the snow is at least consistent and not too deep.

It’s better than driving or just sitting at home during a long winter (IMO).
by the time i get home, and get out for my ride, coming home is now getting close to dark, and now, very soon, i’m going to have to start wearing heavy clothing just to do that.
When the snow flies though, and they throw down that gravel, my days will be done until next spring…
32°C here in SW France and I’ve no bike so I decided to have a small glass of Whisky followed by a glass of sangria. Now I feel really fit and warm with a fresh bedroom for later (air con is running).
