    That record truly is shattered. By a large margin.

    Meanwhile, it is the last day of summer and I am looking at 10-12°F above freezing. There is a chance that first frost could actually occur in September this year, and that type of record is 1970’s level.

      It’s cooling off fast up here in MN. Frost is being predicted over much of the state this weekend and might even penetrate into the metro heat island. Please don’t give us another winter like that of 2 years ago. Please.

    Hmm. I thought that the autumnal equinox is Sept 23. Let me check the almanac… Ah 9:49 am my timezone Sept 22nd (leap year this year) and the date of 12 daylight length is some 3 days later.
