Close to -40 with a wind in early September! That is amazing. But that can never undo the irreparable damage to the ice cap from two hours of (barely) above freezing temperatures.
But it’s at 10000 feet according to Mosher. Once that other 9000 feet of ice melts, the last 1000 feet of ice will melt in a flash!!
A cloud of blue steam! đŸ˜†

Beer.
I’m sure if you have live at summit station, there is a constant supply of such kinds of beverages.

Around this time of the equinox year (Autumn/Spring), when the two poles arrive somewhat synchronously in temperature, we call it an “Ice Age”.
Luckily, we still have a few hundred years to go before those conditions reappear:)
The skeet shooting competition should commence shortly.
Oh come on Steve, you know coldwarm melts ice.
With “global warming” all things are possible.

Like hot snow
If it stays like this it will never melt and then were would we be?
So come everyone get the SUVs out and drive. Can we do it? Yes we’ll try!
