I was listening to PBS describe the squalor of “Palestinian refugee camps” in Lebanon, where they have been for seventy years.
Why have refugees been kept locked up in Lebanon for seventy years? When refugees come to civilized parts of the world, they are integrated into society. In the Middle East, they are just cannon fodder to keep hatred alive against Israel.

They are not ‘Palestinians’, they are ‘Arabs’. There has never been any such country as ‘Palestine’, it is a geographic region like the Ohio Valley or Mississippi Delta. This is a contrived controversy.
It is indicative that there are no corresponding refugee camps housing the millions of Jews that were driven out of Islamic countries. As you said, the “Palestinians” are deliberately maintained in this stateless condition by the Islamic world to foment hatred for Israel.
