Any Mindless Excuse To Destroy Freedom

The Longview school district will join a nationwide group that identifies students who could become violent and tracks them throughout their education — regardless of where they move.

Longview ISD officials said Wednesday the district will participate in the Student Safety National Alliance starting in the 2013-14 school year.

“What we are offering and introducing to you today is the Walmart for student safety and security,” said interim district Superintendent James Wilcox.

About 70 school administrators and campus police officers from 25 school districts attended a school safety conference at the district’s education safety center to learn about the alliance.

“We’re here because of what happened at Sandy Hook. If we weren’t having these catastrophic acts, we wouldn’t be here,” Korem told school officials Wednesday.

None of the desperate measures being implemented in the name of Sandy Hook would have had any impact on what happened there. The one thing which would have saved those kids was a security guard, and they absolutely refuse to discuss that.

Or an armed administrator/teacher. The people can protect themselves, if government doesn’t stop them.

Precrime. Unbelievable. Maybe a spiteful teacher will put your kid on the list for eyerolling them, or for throwing a pretend hand grenade while playing army during recess.

As an aside, I shot another water moccasin on Sunday. I tried to reason with it and spoke to it sternly, but the thing was a vindictive prick. It’s dangerous out there.

There have been cases of teacher and administrator violence. We should track all of the administrators at the meeting through the rest of their careers, since we know they are already in favor of it…

Leftists suffer from a god complex, they believe they can perfect both man and planet, and stop all evil.

Libertarians, on the other hand, accept that man is inherently flawed and that noone is smart enough to make all the right choices for everyone else.

A leftard recently said to me that he has the ‘right’ to not be blown away by some nut with a gun. I informed him noone has such a ‘right’, just as noone has a ‘right’ not to be hit by a drunk driver or the ‘right’ to a happy marriage. Leftists never grow up, they think the world owes them everything, and they refuse to take responsibility for their own well being.

Exactly right. I’m always pointing this out to Mosher and Fuller who somehow believe they can appoint themselves arbiters of our great-grandchildren’s world, somehow anticipating everything between now and then and deciding what fuels they can use and how they shall live. See this WUWT thread from over two years ago which proves what is really in their minds.

It is the modern hubris really, the spoiling of the current generations alive that leads to this, whose prosperity (ironically from use of fossil fuels) allows them to act spoiled and know-it-all and omnipotent. It is the evolution of busy-body mentality where everyone has something to say about everyone else, taken to its further extreme.

Compounding and reinforcing this are TV shows like Survivor and Idol and countless internet outlets which are training people to sit on their ass and critique everyone else except for themselves.

    ‘students who could become violent…’

I’m guessing their football players are automatically included.

  6. Next thing we’ll see the lefties insist upon is implanting a GPS microchip inside the skulls of these “non-conforming” students to track and monitor all their movements. Ah crap I should not have posted this. I just gave them their next best great idea to keep us safe!

  8. Sundance says:

My son would have had a rap sheet as a first grader when he punched out a 3rd grade boy in defense of a special needs girl who could not defend herself on a school bus. I, as a father who taught my kid how to fight well enough to give a bloody nose to a kid two grades above him, would now likely be considered a violent parent too.

  9. I guess this means that, from now on, if a child gets in a schoolyard fight, plays with toy pistols, carries a pocket knife to school, expresses disapprobation with effeminate classmates or (gasp) witnesses as a Christian, he’s a “marked man” for life. Just what the Hell have we come to? And who are these “educators” who have taken this power of judgement and enforcement upon themselves? Whoever they are, the last place on Earth they should be allowed in is a school.

No doubt they will cull the SPLC extremist danger lists, just like our Army did, on the infamous lecture, recently, and put offspring of all Souther Baptists, Evangelical Christian, all Catholics, and all KKK youngsters, and sunni muslims youngsters on this “danger list”, for tracking. Oh I fogot, they really like mooslims, cross that off the danger list! Idiots, anti-American marxist educators, of low intelligence!

    “Walmart for student safety”!!
After seeing all those pictures of Walmartians, that comment fills me with fear.

    • gator69 says:

Fear not, once a week I turn into a “Walmartian”, but wear no spandex and need no scooter. It’s really a great company, and sells stuff super cheap. I have made it a point to ask every Walmart employee I meet how they feel about their job, and I swear I have never heard anything but good reports. I’m not so dull as to not know that they have unhappy employees, but I have not yet met one.

As an aside, their is a HUGE difference in shopping experiences between my small town Walmart, and those you find in the city.

Another Dumbocrat conversion program, converting innocent children to potential offenders, one pupil at a time.

This is groupthink, low IQ slimeballs gaming the system to benefit their own pathetic weak offspring.

A consensus of ignorant people seems to outweigh individual intelligence.
