Left Wing Solutions

Obama and the Congressional left reject the idea of putting security guards in schools, even though their own children are protected by security guards in their schools.

Rather than placing someone with a gun in the schools to protect the children, they say that children should call someone else with a gun (police) who take 20 minutes to arrive. In the meantime six year olds are told to defend themselves with ball point pens.

Politicians should have to follow the same rules they make for everyone else. Since most people don’t have the option of sending their kids to private schools, politicians’ kids should be required to attend public school… in DC! They should pay into social security and participate in Obamacare like everyone else.

If they didn’t exempt themselves from so many of the rules they create for the rest of us, they wouldn’t be willingly screwing stuff up as much.

I’m beginning to think we should reinstate the draft, making the people have skin in the game for our pols’ adventurism and, you guessed it, their children should be frontline troops in Afghanistan. Hey, we can dream.

Why do we not have an issue with “representation without taxation”? Freeloaders should not have the ability to vote themselves more benefits, or direct the money of those who actually contribute.

BINGO! … ding ding ding … and we have a winner!

There is NO way to win this game as long as the moochers can simply continue to vote for more free shit. Once there are enough takers, game over…. I believe we have crossed that threshold … only thing saving us right now are our guns (while we still have them).

Well, once they figure out that this would be the simplest way to get everyone into the public healthcare system through the VA, not to mention get them all on the hook for federal pensions and other goodies, they will. “Skin in the game” is exactly what they will have. But they have a completely different reason in mind than you or I.

Personally I would rather not have a snot-nosed 18-year old Twitter/Facebook/Xbox junkie, male or female, who can’t tie their own shoes or do basic math or logic and barely read and write, standing anywhere near me in combat, or anywhere else.

Besides, involuntary servitude is technically verboten even though the (D)ummycrats genetically despise the 13th Amendment.

  2. They, the govt certainly have enough ammo, cough, cough, (2.6 billion rounds) to arm guards in schools

  3. philjourdan says:

Nope – they are banning ball point pens as well – too much chance they can be used as a weapon.

Big Al gave a speech at the Milken Institute Global Conference…

“Gore lamented that a modern-day Thomas Paine would not be able to get his “Common Sense” message to the masses today because he couldn’t afford TV airtime, and he criticized the “rise of television at the expense of the printing press.”

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/milken-conference-al-gore-rocks-449247

Didn’t this retard just sell a network for $500 million dollars? And I’m pretty sure his “message” is having a positive effect on his bank account.

Skeeter is going to have to step up the lies to keep his biggest liar status.

    • philjourdan says:

And last I checked, Print is still around, although dying because of the internet which for the most part is FREE. Gore should know that – he invented it.

    • The Iconoclast says:

TV airtime costs too much? I had to check to make sure I wasn’t reading The Onion. Those tired bleats belong to the pre-Internet TV era of 1955 to 1995. Pretty sure if he were alive today, Thomas Paine would be blogging and hitting the talk show circuit, like Al does!

Guess what else? I can find Paine’s works on line and be reading them within seconds. Still relevant today. Maybe Gore should try googling him.

And, hey great, the Milken Institute, founded by Michael Milken, indicted for racketeering and securities fraud, pled guilty to securities and reporting violations and was sentenced to ten years in prison, fined $600 million, and permanently barred from the securities industry by the Securities and Exchange Commission. (He got to keep most of the money, though.) Good company.

  7. Mike Mellor says:

As someone with both military and private security experience I can quite confidently assert that placing armed guards in schools would help as much as implanting tits on a bull’s back.

    • Brilliant thinking.

Lanza never would have entered the school if there had been an armed guard, and if he did he would have been shot as soon as he made it through the front door.

      WTF are you talking about?

      • gator69 says:

Mike seems to really know his bull.

      • Mike Mellor says:

You guys have been watching too many A-Team reruns. If I’m a shooter, the first person I take out is the armed guard, then it’s party time. Secondly, out of say fifty thousand armed guards in schools around America, what are the odds that every year at least one has a brain fart and shoots someone either deliberately or accidentally.

        • philjourdan says:

Hmmm, let me see. My locality has had armed officers in every secondary school for the past 15 years (there are about 30 of them). 15 years, 30 schools, = 0 accidental firings.

Let’s extend that. There are about 15,000,000 policemen in the US. In the last 10 years, there have been a grand total of 5 accidental shootings (source: fbi.gov). You do the math.

As far as the first person taken out, where would you strike first? One where someone is firing back at you (even if only a shot or 2) or one where no one can fire back at you? Crazy people are crazy, not stupid.

      • That is nonsense.

The knowledge that there was an armed person in he school would have probably prevented the attack from being planned.

If Lanza did proceed with the attack, he shot his way through the front door. That would have made it trivial to pick off an attacker coming through the door into a blind space.

    • Sundance says:

Mike, why do all the DC pols and the rich people put their kids in schools with professional security? Are you accusing those in your security industry of misrepresenting themselves and providing unnecessary and ineffective services to individuals and schools?

    • gator69 says:

“7.) More than 80 percent of respondents support arming school teachers and administrators who willingly volunteer to train with firearms and carry one in the course of the job.”

  9. gator69 says:

Another stroke of leftist genius! Right after jihadis bombed Boston, let’s go after Christians!

“Religious liberty groups have grave concerns after they learned the Pentagon is vetting its guide on religious tolerance with a group that compared Christian evangelism to “rape” and advocated that military personnel who proselytize should be court martialed.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation is calling on the Air Force to enforce a regulation that they believe calls for the court martial of any service member caught proselytizing.

President Mikey Weinstein and others from his organization met privately with Pentagon officials on April 23. He said U.S. troops who proselytize are guilty of sedition and treason and should be punished – by the hundreds if necessary – to stave off what he called a “tidal wave of fundamentalists.”

“Someone needs to be punished for this,” Weinstein told Fox News. “Until the Air Force or Army or Navy or Marine Corps punishes a member of the military for unconstitutional religious proselytizing and oppression, we will never have the ability to stop this horrible, horrendous, dehumanizing behavior.”

    • Mike Mellor says:

gator69 I presume you’re cool with all religions getting equal air time, not only Christians? That is the intention of the Constitution, yes?

      • gator69 says:

I am a libertarian. I endorse the free market of ideas.

        What is your point?

      • Chewer says:

As you know the 1500 year war is still going strong.
The first half of the prophet’s life was spent in peace, love and understanding to make converts, the world over.
The second half of his life was reflecting why the 1st half wasn’t working and indeed, he needed a change of heart which lead to Jihad against those who were not following.
The other billion religions (most lost to history over the past 50,000 years) changed drastically, but one has not!
        Do you get it?

      • philjourdan says:

No reserved time for any religion in my area. The religious shows are those that are bought and paid for by the churches. Equal air time – if you want to broadcast, pony up the money for the time slot. Aint capitalism grand?

  10. Liberty Speaks says:

Guns do not bother me. No matter how well armed or equipped a place is…crazy people will always get in. It happens here, it happens in Russia, it happens in Israel…everywhere. What is more difficult is having a police state, that cannot be easily removed. Armed guards in schools would create a new TSA which is a nightmare that should be eliminated.

  11. Appell came here once and asserted boldly that guns had no deterrent effect. I asked him why security guards, the army, and the police, carried weapons. Immediately he struggled to reply and ended up ignoring these basic questions and repeating his assertion.

The debate is not over whether Steve’s idea will work. The real issue is cost/benefit.
