    I live in Thailand but go home to Scotland every year usually in May/June for two weeks. For about 5 of the last 7 years there has been fresh snow on the tops, and sometimes at quite low levels as well. The only other time I remember snow in June in my 53 years on the planet was the 2nd June 1975 when it snowed as far south as Central England. (They were playing cricket in the snow in Buxton. )

    Snowy summers in Scotland are much more common now than they were in the 70’s. 80’s and 90’s.

  2. It would be very damaging to the economies of Europe if we went back to 20th century temperatures. It seems Europeans took the milder winters of the early 21st century for granted, and some even thought it was a bad thing. Then reality hits home.
