I know this is probably a really bad idea but if polar bears are in iminent danger of extinction in the arctic would it be possible to introduce them to the antarctic… I realise they are a top of the food chain predator and penguins have never encountered such beasts, it could alter the balance down there… but, you know… just putting it out there…
Polar bears survived the Holocene Climate Optimum. They are not going anywhere soon.

It should be noted that some polar bears hunt on nearby Alaskan lands during times of no icepack. They aren’t terribly successful at stalking because of their white color, but they can survive. In Antarctica there are no berries, carrion, worms or grubs to eat, and the bears can’t be expected to spend the off season swimming to and from New Zealand.
No, moving them to the other pole is not the solution.
