Our friend Reggie thinks the Arctic will get much, much warmer soon and magically blow all the ice away. According to your chart, it barely gets warmer at all from here on out.
Ice has less to do with air temperature than it does water temperature, wind speed and direction, and wave height. One bad storm can result on one heck of a lot of sea ice ablation this time of year.
That’s why there was an open NW passage last year..huge summer storm ripped ice to shreds. Meteorologist in g forks nd
croospacth is right and NH ice melt or gain is generally unrelated to global temperature. I dont understand why the warmistas even use it as a guide…..
The ice begins to melt when it is -20C, and doesn’t start to freeze again until it is -10c. 3rd week in March and 3rd week in Sept. Solstice to Solstice. Storms and length of day control the sea ice in the Arctic.
Ice melts at -20C?
Yes and then refreezes at a warmer temperature. Duh!
