Greenland Meltdown Threatens To Bury The Greenhouse Under Snow And Ice

I wonder why they built that mound of snow next to the greenhouse? A strong wind from the left of the camera and the greenhouse will be history.
The buildings were getting buried. That is the pile of snow they dug out.
Actually it would be good to have a side by side comparison pic from about 12 months ago Steve. Do you have the time?
I’d really like to see the accumulation of all that snow.
Heres one I found in the archives from June 30 2012

Once you clear 5 feet of “frost” off the greens, the Greenland Country Club will be ready for summer play.
This is a good page if you’ve not seen it before:
http://imb.crrel.usace.army.mil/buoysum.htm
Data from all the ice mass balance buoys. It includes air temps and some webcams.
We need to get a few Greenies to trek into there and save those poor scientists! They’ll be buried alive!!! It can’t be too cold for the rescue team since it is mid summer. Maybe jim Hansen McKitten and Mann will volunteer. It would be excellent media hype for their cause. “Saving Science!!!” What a headline!
