Not Just Bad Astronomy

Stick to astronomy Phil Plait as you keep getting everything wrong about climate as you ignore the objective data choosing dire doomsday projections instead, which isn’t doing science, it’s doing soothsaying prognosticating co2 climate doomsday raptures (such as your imagining fire doomsday scenarios that “may” happen 37 years from now intentionally designed to freak people out but which have no basis based upon the objective empirical observational evidence from Nature).
It’s not Plait actually…it’s Mann. Plait for climate stuff is just another Mann mouthpiece.
I have told warmists time and again that fire is essential for the life cycles of some types of vegetation. Fire is also a ‘cleaner’.
Yeah. Unfortunately Greenie Alarmist types don’t get that one.
Nor do they get get that a fair percentage of forest and bush fires they blame on AGW/CC weren’t caused by it either. Since a fair percentage were caused by human carelessness, stupidity and arson. Not CO2 or warming they blame for all disasters.
Steve,
I thought fire suppression policies resulted in crown fires which are bad, and that regular frequent natural fires cleared out the small trees and underbrush but keep the bigger trees healthy (and with less beetles).
Do the ground fires release the seeds from the cones on the ground, and are the natural fires less intense than the ones that occur when fires have been suppressed? How does fire make them germinate without destroying them?
Lodgepole Pine grows in dense groves in the high country, and requires crown fires to germinate.
Pondersoa Pine grows at lower elevations, and naturally forms stands of large, sparse old growth trees. Crown fires are normally not a part of their ecosystem

97% of global warmers are arsonists.
97% of climate scientists desperately want the world to burn.
Off the 19,000 fires, what if any were set by the Union of Concerned Idiots or Global Warming Rapid Response Teams. If they had a motto, it surely would be “creating global warming, one forest fire at a time.”
Dead and dying tress are no match for oxygen rich foliage, so anyone thinking dry and drought types of fires are bad to not understand the physics of hard core forest burners…
Plait is a douche
Phil Plait is a moron.
