  1. Ah, a pleasant repast at a congenial dining establishment, away from the city. Reminds me of the Chautauqua in Boulder, CO, nestled in a small park at the foot of the Flatirons.

Note that they do not list the cost!

if usa didnt have sotero doing similar or worse to you, WE would be the laughing stock of the world. as it is you guys win, just, but EU is closing fast:-0

    • Baa Humbug says:

It was a fundraising dinner for the LNP (conservatives). It cost between $1000 and $2000 per head to attend. About 30 people did.

It turns out the menu was never circulated. It was an in-house joke between the restaurant owner and his son. Only one mock up menu was produced.

    • Well, the old saying is “If you have to ask how much something costs, you can’t afford it.”

  3. Gamecock says:

    Should include two left wings.

This will go down as one of the best dirty tricks ever seen in the business.

See, the dinner was 3 months ago, and the ‘menu’ ‘came to light’ yesterday, about 12 hours after Gillard’s completely bonkers speech to the Women for Gillard group.

Now it turns out that the ‘menu’ was never used in the dinner, and wasn’t seen by the dinner guests. It was written by the restaurant owner.

    Who is a Labor supporter.

So when the ‘men blue ties are coming for you’ madness that Gillard spouted yesterday threatened to take off, ‘someone’ dangled a morsel in front of the MSM, who bit on it…and the blue tie problem was solved.

I do admire competency in a political operator, even a slimy one. Also Scottish accents are cool.
