Then they told us that the remaining multi-year ice had cracked and “failed.” Then they told us that an unprecedented hole had opened up in the Arctic ice, and that it would all be gone this summer. Then they told us that Arctic ice was in “freefall.”

In a couple of years these same morons will have changed Team jerseys and will be screaming about the next ice age, if only they had a few $$$$Billion to buy that new research computer and the EPA will have another 20,000 pages of regulations to be enforced by legions of new Greenie inspectors.
I think they believe the more they fear monger, the more they have everyone’s attention. But I think, like everything else, they have it backward. The more they fearmonger, the more people disengage from this whole thing. Fear mongering isn’t science. The only people who buy it are the true believers and they will believe this crap no matter what. The rising tide of climate skepticism I think is directly attributable to the fear mongering that never materializes. I think all these ridiculous predictions re: the Artic will destroy them in the end. When some one constantly predicts doom and gloom and it doesn’t happen, people have a funny way of tuning them out. They are quickly becoming those preachers who predict, and give dates for, the apocalypse only to have that date pass without anything happening at all. Then they give another date. But most people see those preachers as nutters. I suspect most people are starting to see these climate warming alarmists much in the same way.
Its a mind set with these people , for many years I was on the left with the Workers Revolutionary Party (WRP you know Vanessa Redgrave’s own live king Lear and Macbeth all rolled into one) and I, yes I, remember clearly after the demise of Ken Livingstone’s Greater London Council, the miners strike and then the end of Fleet street that the trade union movement had been effectively neutered by Thatcher and that we should now turn to the environment and an anti- capitalist issue.
So I know what I was like and definitely what the predominantly self -hating middle class left were like ; they hated everything to do with the America, Britain and Israel and still do yet enjoyed every benefit that the system they hated so much gave them. Their ability to lie and when in power dish out cruelty is insatiable. They only select the history of modern society and paint a fraudulent picture that somewhere in time life was much better until capitalism and the west came along. These people frankly are nuts.

It’s why their crap only works with kids. Kids don’t know history, they haven’t lived it. They think this is all new. People who are older are wiser. They’ve seen it all before. I use to be a lefty as well. Churchill was right about people becoming more conservative as they grow older. The young mean well, but are ignorant. They just don’t know better. The professional left can only get ahead by lying and manipulating the young and dispossessed. But, the thing is, people catch on and the left always become vanquished. Then they rewrite history, invent their little conspiracy theories to explain their failures and become a joke to the vast majority of people until a generation later when history and those groups align together again.
Obama’s coalition are who? Leftists, minorities and the young. The blind leading the blind. There is no leadership there, no forces of history leading them. There is no future for this coalition as people always wake up and see things for what they are.
