Comparing 2012 Temperatures To 1936 Temperatures

The graphs below were generated using all reported HCN temperatures on July 13, 1936 and July 13, 2012.

On July 13, 2012 four percent of the US was over 100F, compared to forty percent in 1936. Remarkably, the 1936 area over 110F was almost the same area as the 2012 area over 100F.

The summer of 1936 was much hotter than the summer of 2012, but through the magic of extreme data tampering, NOAA has been able to convince many people that 2012 was the hottest year ever.

The thermometers were more affected by UHI in 2012 than in 1936 and 1936 was before “Recorded History”. That started in 1980! 😉 Must you always Cherry Pick? 🙂 You pick the hottest year with actual data versus the hottest year determined by climate models. That is unfair, using the truth is always unfair in Climatology! Just ask Big Al!

going off of what you have said mike we really have only have accurate measurements since 1980…so the earth has been around for roughly 4 billion years…..that’s 4,000,000,000,000 and we have had accurate measurement of temperature for the past 33 years let me write that out to be fair that’s 33…..
so 4 billion years vs 33 years of study i think we may need more info….just my thoughts

“the hottest year as determined by climate models”? last I checked, 2012 had come and gone, and NOAA is claiming it was the hottest summer on record….not some climate model extrapolated forward, from say, 2010 (or even 1998 for that matter)!
