I guess then when I joined Environment Canada(1978), my instructors all lied to our class when they stated that the earth was cooling? I do recall that being stated. This was of course before the whole business became political….oh, and while working in Eureka NWT back then now Nunavut, on a day off, we got a helicopter ride over to Axel Heiberg Island, over some pretty impressive glaciers to drop off supplies and mail to a couple of Glaciologists from Sweden, and in our broken English with them, we asked them if the glaciers were advancing or retreating…oh. and this is when we were cooling remember? they stated they were retreating big time….back in the late 70’s…
