What I can’t understand is what they want him charged WITH.

He went out that night on his neighborhood watch turn not knowing if anyone would even show up at all. He called police before Martin was even close enough to him to identify his ethnicity. When Martin ran, he got out of his truck to keep him in sight but Zimmerman lost Martin within 10 seconds. Zimmerman walked along a sidewalk that made the top of a “T” with the stem of the “T” going down the middle of back yards of a row of townhouses. Martin was on the phone with a friend for four minutes and said he was in the back yard of where his dad was staying which was at the bottom right corner of the stem of the T if viewed from above. Zimmerman, after arranging how police should contact him when they arrived and checking the new name of the street in front of the townhouses on the right side of the T was on his way back to his truck. He was apparently thinking Martin had left the neighborhood out of a side entrance according to what he told police in the call with the dispatcher, Zimmerman still at this point had no idea where Martin was. When Zimmerman walked back across the top of the T going toward his truck, Martin apparently confronted him and started beating him.

I can not for the life of me see any wrongdoing on the part of Zimmerman. He wasn’t “following” or “stalking” Martin. At any time during the four minutes Martin was in the back yard talking to his friend, he could have simply gone in the house. It LOOKS like Martin waited for Zimmerman to cross that alley behind the townhouses on his way back to his truck and jumped him. I don’t see a charge there for Zimmerman.

    Sanford and Son.

  3. Eric Barnes says:

Makes sense. Any new police chief would probably have to say that. Any person with a spine or integrity would even consider taking that job considering past events.

  4. kbray in california says:

Cecil Smith, the new Sanford police chief is from Elgin, Illinois, 40 miles from Chicago.
Sounds like an obummer political replacement.
What a polluted mess of a presidency.

  5. Traitor In Chief says:

I can think of someone who didn’t want to charge him….. the police who investigated the case…. who, uh, are trained in what the law requires… who interviewed eye witnesses, who saw Zimmerman’s injuries…. and who had every reason to charge him if they thought he had committed a crime.

  6. crosspatch says:

Looks like the ACLU is now coming out on Zimmerman’s side, too.

  7. philjourdan says:

Sanford lost a good man, and got a politician. Big cities with huge crime problems do that as well.

  8. You are all just beginning to see why I call them the Insane Left — the disconnect with reality on their part, and the anti-American tyranny they want to impose (literally overturning America to put Black prejudices on top, as the moral and legal standard, just like jihadists who want to impose Sharia law everywhere), can only end in real, general war (but, apparently, not in this generation, which accepts insanity and refuses to think straight). It is of course already a war on their part, being fought politically against all those they want to marginalize and demonize. And they rely upon, and are being rewarded by, a general carelessness and incompetence among the general populace, with all of its self-absorbed, daily concerns, and unreal “reality” entertainments.

I have worked in and around Sanfort for far longer than this Political hack has been alive. The Feelings were about 80% 20% with TM being the 20%. This after the Justice Dept. spent who knows how much to rile up the Masses. The day after the incident try 95/5. For George

Apart from the guy whose job he took, he means?

Since when do OPINIONS of the populace drive police department and DA’s office activities???

Yeah, I know, when they are full of leftards.
