Climate Panel Cites Near Certainty on Warming – NYTimes.com

This guy has concluded from the facts that we are in an interglacial and that CO2 has risen, that future generations are going to live in a hellish world – and 657 readers recommended the comment. It takes many years of being beaten intellectually senseless to become this stupid and angry.

Ice melts above the freezing point, regardless of whether temperatures are rising or falling. Twenty thousand years ago, Chicago was buried under a mile of ice and sea level was 350 feet lower. It is safe to assume that ice will continue to melt, until Earth starts the next ice age cycle.

Scott N from Austin believes that CO2 in the air makes it hot. I suggest that he  tries turning off the fossil fuels, and heats his home with CO2 next winter.

Austin is where the sane people in Texas keep their moonbats.

    • jack b :-) says:

This is exactly the case here in Texas. It’s our freak show, and once in a blue moon (or two) the zookkepers (the normal Texans) are required by statute to visit and feed the animals inhabiting our little zoo – Austin.
It’s so that we know what would happen to our children if we ever let them go to d.c. to live and breed with the real freaks.

  2. Chuck says:

Having these people heat their homes with CO2 is the best idea I have ever heard!

  3. Anto says:

Crazy Al is at it again. The depths of moral and intellectual deviancy on display in this interview would even embarrass Machiavelli:

and the NYT is doing great…………right? LOL

    These people don’t pay!

  5. John B., M.D. says:

Admit it, Steve. The liberal media won the messaging war and brainwashed everyone not smart enough or skeptical enough to examine the facts. I, like Anthony Watts, bought into the alarmist narrative until the last few years – until I looked at data you and others have made available and applied my critical thinking skills and B.S. meter (skills honed during undergrad engineering education and critical examination of medical literature). Now that AGW has become politicized ensures a sizable percentage of the electorate will believe this crap no matter what evidence is presented to the contrary. The left will keep demonizing the right for wanting dirty air and dirty water, and destroying the planet for our progeny, even as they destroy our economy and create the welfare state out of faux-compassion.

    • There Is No Substitute for Victory says:

Steven the one you should be abusing is the one who posted before or after this idiot. The one I am thinking of is the one who said that melting sea ice would kill the krill because of a salt imbalance..

  6. @njsnowfan says:

It reminds me of that PHD woman that said that inside of her car is hotter because more C02 was in it.
On the other Note, The artic rowers left a drawing in a hunting camp on the plywood wall. What do you see in this drawing that is wrong? You would think they would draw the picture right..Third picture down.

  7. There Is No Substitute for Victory says:

They are in possession to push the boat backwards not row it forward with their oars, holy Jesus, no wonder they can’t get any where or make any time!

    • @njsnowfan says:

In their training video they were rowing the right way. http://vimeo.com/67232668#at=14 Maybe they had the Ice breaker on the back of their row boat.. Lets see how they deal with the upcoming ice flows, cold and snowy weather. Weather is NOT looking good for them in the next week or so. They are traveling along now at a good speed as I type.

    • @njsnowfan says:

Drawing Graffiti inside that cabin might bring them bad luck, native hunting camp? When I saw the hand drawn picture on the wall it reminded me of the odd drawing idiots drawn in public bathrooms.

  8. Joe Public says:

“I suggest that he tries turning off the fossil fuels, and heats his home with CO2 next winter.”

Or better still, tries turning off the fossil fuels, and cools his home with CO2 next summer.

    Austin Heating and Cooling Annual
    Heating Degree Days 1688
    Cooling Degree Days 3016

  9. Lou says:

LOL. Austin is considered San Francisco of the south. Why do you think I live outside of Austin for that reason? In fact, gas station sells koozies in my town saying “Just outside of weird”. Not only that, my wife’s relatives are hypocrites for living in republican’s congressional district after voting for Obama twice. I mean seriously, live in democrat’s district… which is crap.

  10. Sean says:

I love the nice touch of mentioning Exxon and China. The war on CO2 will mostly result in fuel substitution, natural gas for coal. Who has huge natural gas reserves?? Exxon. And what will all that expensive renewable energy do for domestic manufacturing? Transplant it to China where they are burning all the coal they’ve got and some of our excess supply. Exxon and China must love having such passionate patsies working on their behalf..

  11. DGP says:

Personally, I don’t have very high expectations of Scott N’s progeny.

  12. Andy Oz says:

What NASA “scientists” are doing to save their funding… I mean save the world from CO2. Cutting edge stuff…..not.

    • @NJSnowFan says:

Thanks for posting Video. Lots off snow and ice. Must be nice to get paid big$$ for joy rides over all the ice and snow.
      Wasted taxpayer $$$.

  13. What he seems to literally be arguing for, is that, say, -40C without CO2 versus -36C with CO2, with cause the ice to melt.
