Earth Blows Away The Record For Sea Ice Gain In 2013

The amount of thin, rotten, decayed, bald sea ice on Earth has increased by nearly 33,000 Manhattans since this date last year – almost doubling the previous record for annual ice gain.

Note that the amount of sea ice on Earth has increased during six of the last eight years.

NOAA says that these are the hottest years ever, and that the Arctic will soon be ice-free.

The Bald ice is the worst… because hair protects it from overheating.

  2. It seems as if the Earth is actually able to maintain a state of equilibrium over longer periods of time. Who would have thought?

  3. @NJSnowFan says:

What will they blame all the ice on now? I know, Fluke weather patterns. More funding will be needed for never ending studies of ice core samples, Tree Rings and Daily Grooming of the Greenland ice sheet(Greenland Country Club for climate scientist.)

  4. Andy Oz says:

    More evidence of “Global Weirding”.
BTW How could any academic body not realise they had stuffed up awarding degrees and doctorates to people who then come up with or support a bogus explanation like Global Weirding?
If the academic bodies are awarding morons with climate science degrees, I’m certain they’ve awarded morons with engineering, physics, chemistry, law and medical degrees as well.
I’m never driving over any bridges or flying in planes built after 2000.

I’d say you’re safe enough. The old axiom: “Those who can, do. Those who can not, teach.” applies in spades.

I’m not entirely sure about the medical profession, yet since the medical profession kills 20-25 people an hour through mistakes and prescription interactions, it has become the deadliest profession. (At least to it’s victims)

The physical sciences will not easily or gently tolerate morons in their midst. Aspiring engineering and chemistry idiots will change their majors to business administration. Academia serves industry in delivering educated trainees and a school that churns-out engineering morons would gain a reputation that would prevent any of their graduates from gaining private sector employment.

I have no reasonable explanation for the educated-idiot physicists irresponsible for the climate models. Perhaps it’s the result of most physicists working in either government or academia (same thing really, public sector crime).

Inept lawyers who cannot make it in private practice often seek refuge in political office (explains the quality of the laws they write).

So, you’re safe enough flying or crossing those newer bridges.

Visiting a doctor or filling a prescription however……

Draw a trend line from 2011, and panic.

  6. Thor says:

Where is the red line for record loss of ice in 2012 that would have fallen off the chart? Was that purposefully left off your chart? A record number of boats went through the NW Passage in 2012 including 2 cruise ships. Of course there is a record increase in ice after a record loss, otherwise there would be no winter ice.

33,000 Manhattans of ice (or 33,000 Mhtt) is A LOT of ice!! 🙂
