   The normal high for our area in the thumb of Michigan is 79. It is now 66 at 12:43 pm. Unless a heat wave suddenly passes through, it probably won’t break 70.

   All in all, 2013 has been one of the best summers we’ve had; both green and warm at the same time. In fact, the grass has so much moisture it’s clumping up in the tractor mower deck, a rare occurrence in July.

   Certainly they can’t be saying Michigan is having a drought!

   Once again, proven correct. All the media seem to be concerned with the last 3 days has been heat in Europe, comparisons to 2003 and not a peep of the arctic seaice because it’s pretty much exactly where it was two weeks ago.
