Troubled By His Own Disastrous Presidency, Obama Looks To Start WWIII

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel suggested Friday that the Pentagon was moving naval forces closer to Syria in preparation for a possible decision by President Obama to order military strikes.

Hagel declined to describe any specific movements of U.S. forces. He said Obama asked that the Pentagon prepare military options for Syria and that some of those options “requires positioning our forces.”

The president’s senior national security advisers are expected to meet at the White House this weekend to discuss possible military options for responding to the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government, a U.S. official told Fox News Friday.

Isn’t it wonderful having an incompetent, disloyal dictator making all of the country’s key decisions.

My hotair comment: Assad has no motive to use chemical weapons, as that would invite the wrath of the west. On the other hand, the rebels have a very strong motive to use chemical weapons and try to blame Assad for it, and that motive is to get the west involved in a round the clock Libya style bombing so they can win.

To think we are on the verge of initiating war on behalf of the al Quaeda and Muslim Brotherhood backed rebels that used chemical weapons.

LET’S AMEND THAT JUST A LITTLE; THE REBELS ARE HAPPY TO BE GIVEN WEAPONS, BUT IT ISN’T REALLY THE REBELS. YOU SEE, THE NEW WORLD ORDER, WHICH HAS HI-JACKED THE U.S. GOV’T USING A MUSLIM, TRAINED MARXIST NEEDS “A SINKING OF THE MAINE” FOR REASONING TO USE THE U.S. MILITARY IN ORDER TO FURTHER THE DESTRUCTION OF THE MIDDLE EAST STABILITY WHICH WAS BUILT UP IN THE LAST CENTURY. WITH ALL OF THE MIDDLE EAST IN TURMOIL, ISRAEL WILL BE OVERWHELMED AND WIPED FROM THE GLOBE, AS HENRY KISSINGER FORETOLD! HENRY IS A PUBLICY AVOWED COMMUNIST AS IS ZBIGNIEW BRESHINSKI! BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW THAT! THE U.S IS SCHEDULED TO BE MIRED IN CIVIL WAR BEFORE THAT. DON’T ASK ME HOW I KNOW ALL OF THIS, I’D BE KILLED TONIGHT AND YOU TOMORROW!

The Russians and Chinese have tolerated provocation after provocation, prefering to by time in low intensity proxy defense. They have each explicitly stated however, Syria and Iran are Red lines. They just may jump in with both feet, and they know who their real enemies are.

    phodges, my hotair comment:

Both the Russian and Chinese military are paper tigers in a “conventional” type warfare… Their only military power against us is nuclear and they are not going to start WW III with us for Syria…

So …. let’s just go ahead and do it “because we can.”

One day then we will pay the piper for this type of wanton , reckless disregard for the concerns of our potentially grave enemies. One day we will have gone a bridge too far, we will have done too much, they will have had it.

OR, they, China and Russia etc, will feel that our warring behavior gives them license to engage in the same, and that would either violate our interests or risk a major possibly nuclear conflict with us. Those that treat this type of military action as a run of the mill mundane type thing are hugely misguided.

So go to war (and bombing is war!) only when there is a real compelling reason to do so. And we don’t have that in Syria.

Eric, I think you are mistaken about their conventional forces, and I also do not think they intend to fight a conventional war anyways…that is already what we have been doing. Hence the danger of challenging whether they really mean “Red line”.

  10. Isn’t the usual tactic in a situation like this to toss some missiles at ‘strategic’ sites of the regime from a safe distance, and then for the US to go home? Not sure where the WW3 part comes into this.
