Almost every day now, Dear Leader comes up with a new explanation about why the Bill of Rights threatens our freedom, and why the only way he can keep us safe is for us to give up our freedoms – and let the benevolent and merciful one take care of those who worship him.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

He only needs one reason: He’s a secretive, rabidly extremist Islamic Muslim terrorist and hopes to replace your Constitution and Bill of Right with Sharia Law. And probably a closet poof.
Put simply, I’d say he was a c*nt – but c*nts are useful.
We can’t blame Obama entirely for this. Most of the programs we are complaining about started with Bush Jr, and most of the laws being abused were from Bush Jr (Patriot act, military commissions act, etc). Even if you want to argue that Bush didn’t intend for them to be used in a certain way (they were misused during his presidency though too), you can’t justify supporting legislation that enables misuse.
Ok, but we’ve had it with the Blame Bush crowd. That’s so yesterday. Oboma has been in office for 5 years, and that’s plenty of time to set the ways of govt.
And btw, I’ve heard people say that the Bill of Rights doesn’t guarantee any right to “privacy.” False. As James Madison said: “It has been objected also against a Bill of Rights, that, by enumerating particular exceptions to the grant of power, it would disparage those rights which were not placed in that enumeration; and it might follow by implication, that those rights which were not singled out, were intended to be assigned into the hands of the General Government, and were consequently insecure. ” So the 9th Amendment was added, which states explicitly that the non-enumerated rights (as privacy) are to be protected as well.
Agreed. Since Knobama’s been in the office way long enough to fix any Bushisms but hasn’t, it’s time to rest the blame on him entirely. He and his cronies only legislate to ensure their perpetuity.
*Rights actually. There’s no substitute for accuracy 😉
Actually it should have been called the bill of limits. As those were intended as a list of “shall not evers” for the government.
However the closet poof in chief finds those limits mighty inconvenient and would prefer to issue his dictates without abiding by any stinking limits.
(Hmmmm potus, Poof Of The United States does fit nicely)
ROFL..! 😉
The Bill of Rights should not be allowed interfere with Obama’s highly successful presidency. (sarc)
