There were no satellites before 1910.
(Marc, you’re supposed to say “There was no CO2 before 1910”.)
But the French did take a trip to the moon (Le Voyage dans la lune) in 1902.

Don’t give a climate scientist a BB gun for Christmas, he’ll shoot his eye out.
😆
But look how much temperatures have risen since 1979!

“Hide the decline!”
It was hot in the US in the 1800’s, as well – the record high temperature of three states was set then. In fact, 35 of the 50 state record high temperatures were set prior to 1940.

“Since the 31st December, 1862, the maximimum shade temperature has four times exceeded 113 degrees. The dates, with the corresponding readings of the maximum shade thermometers, are as
follows :—
January 5, 1863 ………….. 113.4
January 7, 1866 ……………113.4
December 24, 1868 ……… 113.6
December 15, 1876 ……… 114.0

Updated twenty years later:
“I append the following statement of the years in which at Windsor since 1862 the shade temperature has attained to 113 degrees. The reading attached to each year is the maximum recorded for that year:—1863, 113.4 ; 1866, 113.4; 1867, 113.0; 1868, 113.6; 1876, 113.9; 1878, 117.1; 1882, 114.0; 1884, 113.1; 1896, 116.8.
