Antarctic Sea Ice Same As 40 Years Ago

According to climate experts, Antarctic sea ice has climbed to record highs due to global warming. They also pretend that the satellite record began in 1979.

But the 1990 IPCC report had satellite data back to 1973, showing  a sharp drop in Antarctic sea ice extent prior to 1979.

I merged the two graphs together at the same scale, and it turns out that Antarctic sea ice hasn’t changed over the past 40 years.

“Unprecedented climate change” is a term used by experts to mean “no climate change.”

Whether the cycle is consistent or not – I feel that we’re not far away to finding/understanding that the cycles are polar-opposite between the southern and northern poles; Antarctic sea ice has been expanding for 35ish years, while Arctic sea ice had been on a downward trend for about the same period of time . . well, until that ended in about 2007ish.

    • Steve Case says:

And I wonder how far away we are from finding out/understanding that the theory of Catastrophic Global Warming consists mostly of exaggeration, propaganda, lies, and plain old garden variety bullshit.

I hope to live long enough to see that day. I’m 70.

      • Gail Combs says:

You and me both, though I am a bit younger I have already out lived most of my mother’s side of the family. (They die late 50s, early 60s)

And while the Antarctic returns to the high part of the cycle, Ma Nature is putting the lie to the “Warmest Year Evah!’ B.S.

    Record snowfall

Okahoma City’s one day snow fall record of 1.3 inches set in 1968 was smashed with 3.5 inches of snowfall on Saturday. Just across the Red River in Wichita Falls [Texas] saw 2 inches of snow. According to the National Weather Services, the oldest records show there has never been snow on Dec. 27 in Wichita Falls….

We have a stronger cold front coming through Monday night,” Mitchell said. “We are forecasting highs in the lower 30s on Tuesday and upper 20s on Wednesday. Meanwhile, another storm system will be approaching for New Year’s Day and it’ll bring us a slight chance of rain or perhaps some snow.”

And on the other side of the world in Northern Africa, Algeria is seeing heavy snow
    (Google translate)

A Special Weather Statement (BMS) was issued yesterday by Weather Algeria. Thus, the end of 2014 will be marked in our country, by major climatic disturbances and sensitive enough cold wave, since heavy snow and rain storm, with hail, persist until Thursday next in most regions of the north….

… In recent years, the NOM regularly issues BMS drawing attention of the authorities and the general public on climate changes that may occur…. (SO even Algeria is infected with the ‘Climate Change’ virus.]

Mean while the Russians in collapsing economy panic-buy Soviet-era staple amid national shortage “….Bad harvest in Siberia has seen Russia run out of the loved grain….”

There is more to the story. Because of the crash in the oil prices and economic sanctions, the russian rouble is falling in value. We really do not need a hungry Russian Bear again.

(Story contains pictures of pretty girls)

    • rah says:

Oh yea and the Russians are pissed at the US for it. They need to look at themselves Perhaps try they should try reining in their Love affair with Putin and his imperialistic designs and obvious desire to start another cold war and threatening Europe with a Natural Gas embargo and they then might return to a time of relative plenty Mother Russia?

      • Gail Combs says:

Depends on your point of view.

The European Union was dragging eastern bloc countries into the EU country by country. Russia finally got royally P.O. when they went after the Ukraine. Remember Russia doesn’t have good grain growing areas and they NEED the Ukraine in their ‘sphere of influence’ and not in the EU’s.

It doesn’t help that a top Russian scientist, solar physicist Habibullo Abdussamatov predicts the current lull in solar activity will continue and lead to a new Little Ice Age within the next 30 years, and has been predicting the same for years.

John Pilger Says The West Is Lying Itself To Nuclear War (wwwDOT)informationclearinghouse.info/article40537.htm

We already know the MSM is just the propaganda arm of the international bankers. We know they promote war because lending money to countries at war allows them to confiscate wealth from the tax payers. I have zero idea how much of what Roberts is saying is true but we do know that the EU has annexed several countries and when they do so they give up their sovereignty.

We also know that in the last year or so the BRICS countries thumbed their noses at the international bankers and created their own ‘World Bank’ and are also amassing gold.

Also there is a story of “… exactly why or how the Gadhafi regime went from “a model” and an “important ally” to the next target for regime change in a period of just a few years…” Remember ex-prime minster Tony Blair got Gadhafi’s son into the London School of Economics. Blair was sent as representative of the UN and JP Morgan to the Middle East to ‘talk to’ Gadhafi. When those talks failed to bring Gadhafi back in line he was shortly there after subject to a ‘regime change’ and assassination.

        This from 2011:

It remains unclear exactly why or how the Gadhafi regime went from “a model” and an “important ally” to the next target for regime change in a period of just a few years. But after claims of “genocide” as the justification for NATO intervention were disputed by experts, several other theories have been floated.

Oil, of course, has been mentioned frequently — Libya is Africa‘s largest oil producer. But one possible reason in particular for Gadhafi’s fall from grace has gained significant traction among analysts and segments of the non-Western media: central banking and the global monetary system.

According to more than a few observers, Gadhafi’s plan to quit selling Libyan oil in U.S. dollars — demanding payment instead in gold-backed “dinars” (a single African currency made from gold) — was the real cause. The regime, sitting on massive amounts of gold, estimated at close to 150 tons, was also pushing other African and Middle Eastern governments to follow suit.

And it literally had the potential to bring down the dollar and the world monetary system by extension, according to analysts. French President Nicolas Sarkozy reportedly went so far as to call Libya a “threat” to the financial security of the world. The “Insiders” were apparently panicking over Gadhafi’s plan.

“Any move such as that would certainly not be welcomed by the power elite today, who are responsible for controlling the world’s central banks,” noted financial analyst Anthony Wile, editor of the free market-oriented Daily Bell, in an interview with RT. “So yes, that would certainly be something that would cause his immediate dismissal and the need for other reasons to be brought forward [for] removing him from power.”

According to Wile, Gadhafi’s plan would have strengthened the whole continent of Africa in the eyes of economists backing sound money — not to mention investors. But it would have been especially devastating for the U.S. economy, the American dollar, and particularly the elite in charge of the system….
        (wwwDOT)thenewamerican.com/economy/markets/item/4630-gadhafi-s-gold-money-plan-would-have-devastated-dollar

Then you have the BRICS countries doing the exact same thing shortly there after. Threatening the dollar and more important the world wide control of the international bankers

I wrote a bit about this a while back in this comment.

      • Gail Combs says:

        A bit more.

The Rothschilds in London set the gold prices for two hundred years. Rothschild supposedly pulled out in 2004. (Much fanfare in the MSM) but Zero Hedge says the price fixing continues. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-11-25/how-gold-price-manipulated-during-london-fix

I have mentioned several times that China has been buying gold like there is no tomorrow and China, Russia and South Africa are also mining gold.

During this time the price of gold was jacked sky high.

Now the price of gold is dropping.

November 2014: Gold Posts Longest Slump in Seven Weeks on Dollar Rally “…This year, gold has dropped 2.7 percent, heading for a consecutive annual drop for the first time since 1998. The price tumbled 28 percent in 2013 as the Fed …..”

So what exactly was the Fed doing? Why is the Federal Reserve Tapering the Gold Market?

Craig Paul Roberts is not the only one warning of a possible nuclear war:
Ukraine’s War: A Prelude to World War III, Says Former Ukraine Ambassador to U.S.

I really hate being a mouse while the elephants dance.

        • Gail Combs says:

I will also note that a ‘threat of Nuclear War’ may be another …LOOK a SQUIRREL!!!! and another reason to convince the peons a world government is an absolute MUST since it looks like the last reason, ‘Gore Bull Warbling’ is really losing it’s luster.

Both Craig Paul Roberts and the Former Ukraine Ambassador to U.S. Dr. Shcherbak “who was one of Ukraine’s few progressives…” Are both part of the World’s ruling Elite.

        • rah says:

The the “Eastern Bloc” was no more once Soviet Union went down the Warsaw Pact dissolved and the countries that were occupied, including Ukraine were free to go their own way. Poland, Lithuania, Rumania, Bulgaria, etc are independent countries and free to trade and treat with whom they want. It should be no different for Ukraine than for any of the other former “Soviet Republics”.

That is the way I look at it and apparently is the way even the Obama administration looks at it too (Now THAT is an anomaly) . Russia is most certainly going to be hurting as long as the price of oil remains depressed.

        • rah says:

I doubt the threats of nuclear war for lots of reasons.

        • Gail Combs says:

          rah,
I realize that when the Eastern Bloc dissolved the countries were free to do as they please. Doesn’t mean Russia was happy about it. Remember the UK was still grabbing US seamen and impressing them as ‘British Subjects’ and we had to fight another war in 1812 to convince the Brits we really were free.

Also there is a bit more to it. The broken promises the USA made to Russia concerning NATO

From the Council on Foreign Relations:
A Broken Promise? What the West Really Told Moscow About NATO Expansion

          T
wenty-five years ago this November, an East German Politburo member bungled the announcement of what were meant to be limited changes to travel regulations, thereby inspiring crowds to storm the border dividing East and West Berlin. The result was the iconic moment marking the point of no return in the end of the Cold War: the fall of the Berlin Wall. In the months that followed, the United States, the Soviet Union, and West Germany engaged in fateful negotiations over the withdrawal of Soviet troops and the reunification of Germany. Although these talks eventually resulted in German reunification on October 3, 1990, they also gave rise to a later, bitter dispute between Russia and the West. What, exactly, had been agreed about the future of NATO? Had the United States formally promised the Soviet Union that the alliance would not expand eastward as part of the deal?

Even more than two decades later, the dispute refuses to go away. Russian diplomats regularly assert that Washington made just such a promise in exchange for the Soviet troop withdrawal from East Germany — and then betrayed that promise as NATO added 12 eastern European countries in three subsequent rounds of enlargement….

          BROKEN PROMISES

Unforrtunately, the whole history of Russia’s relations with NATO is a history of broken promises, guarantees and obligations. In March 1999, NATO broke its obligation to coordinate its actions with Russia when it decided to attack Yugoslavia against opposition from Moscow. It was in clear breach of the Russia-NATO Founding Act, signed on May 28, 1997, in Paris. In this act, NATO also gave a guarantee that on the territory of the new member states of the alliance there would be no military bases, troop deployments or nuclear armaments….

          THAT is the problem.

        • Gail Combs says:

rah, I hope no nuclear war but China is not a happy camper, Russia is not a happy camper, the Middle East (who is under Russian and Chinese influence) has a bunch of hot heads running around who hate the USA and we have a fool in the White House.

I also think the nuclear war balloon may be floated again as a distraction from the rotten showing Obama has so far made.

        • rah says:

The Soviets couldn’t hold the DDR because they had already lost control of Poland! The US didn’t have to promise them anything though I’m not saying that they didn’t. When Gorbachev repudiated the old Soviet doctrine of using military force to retain the Eastern Bloc Client States in 88 the jig was up. It was fait accompli!

        • Gail Combs says:

          rah,

That means the ‘nuclear War’ story is being floated as a distraction.

I tossed the story out here to the wolves to see what others had to say. We know we are constantly lied to so figuring out the truth is a royal A$$ Bi…ch

      • ringostarr1 says:

Oh, Putin doesn’t want another Cold War. Like the World leaders of 100 years ago Putin, and Obama are both corrupt and incompetent enough to start a real hot shooting war if by no other way than by miscalculation.

Putin is almost in the position now of having to start a shooting war just to keep his seat on the back of the Russian Bear instead of finding himself in the tummy of the bear looking out.

And the UK is expecting more cold weather.
From the BBC no less! BBC Weather’s Peter Sloss said the cold temperatures mean it is already colder now than it was during “a good chunk of last winter”, from January to March. “…The record lows come as parts of the UK have already been hit by sub-zero temperatures and forecasters warned of further plunging temperatures over the next three days….”

Do you think God might be trying to tell Pope Frank something?

“Antarctic Sea Ice Same As 40 Years Ago”
That’s is due to the warm water produced by the GLOBAL WARMING, sinking to the bottom of the Ocean & pushing ice forming cold water to the surface !
As reported by a “respected” Global Warming Australian Scientist caught in the Antarctic ice Christmas 2013 & being rescued by the the third Icebreaker send to free those “respected” Scientists
Note the first two Icebreakers couldn’t free them. Too much ice !

    • Glenn Festog says:

So heat “sinks” and cold “rises? You would think that “respected scientists” would have some passing acquaintance with the Laws of Thermodynamics. ON the other hand, if they’re Greenpeace scientists, then I understand.
