    The Hippies did it.

Adelaide, the city of churches. You would have probably found the hippies pan handling down on Rundle Mall.

Reminds me of what happened back in the early seventies to Boulder. California was suppose to slide off into the ocean and the only safe place to live were the mountains behind Boulder. Or that was the story told to all the hippies and freaks in California. It helped clean out San Francisco, but left Boulder with a real mess. Those hippies and freaks are now climate scientists at the University of Colorado and NCAR.

I did my PhD at Boulder 67-70. The quad was wall-to-wall hippies – they lived there! Then I moved to Manitoba- not so many here. Going down to -30C this weekend. They don’t stay here long- hah! Best to all who come here for real science.
