Hit The Jackpot At NPR

I posted this comment at NPR which does not moderate comments. Fifteen minutes later it was pulled off into moderation. Apparently quoting New York Times stories directly relating to the topic under discussion is a violation of their TOU

Obama To Scott Walker: ‘Bone Up On Foreign Policy’ : It’s All Politics : NPR

The regime descends further and further into despotism. They must be very scared of this story.

It wasn’t the comment … it was your name

    You’re on a list donchaknow?

  2. John B() says:

    Aaaah

    I see the problem, Steve

Based on the comments I looked at, you were “off topic”

The NPR story wasn’t about the Iranian Nuclear Deal
It was all about how rotten the GOP is and in particular how horrible Scott Walker is.

I can’t stand NPR when they’re at their best (hard to avoid the oxymoron)

Tony – I’m very glad you’re engaged with the left wing progressives on their home turf. It’s a tough job.

Personally, my war with the modern “news” media is being waged at the delivery level. I simply turn them off and let other people know that I do not listen to NPR (or other left wing news outlets) because of their obvious bias. Eventually, their advertiser’s/sponsors will catch on along with the public at large.

Same for me with the Washington Post and their Capital Weather Gang. I deliberately ignore them and their idiotic propaganda. No sense raising my blood pressure reading their drivel.

  4. It’s likely due to the hyperlink you put in there. Remove the link or obfuscate it and your comment will probably go through.

I’ve seen Disqus do this on other sites (but not all). It may be an administrative setting that some sites use to avoid spam.

I agree. I quit watching TV altogether but BBC and NPR had been favorites before I realized both are now tools of worldwide propaganda to

    HIDE CREATION:

Stalin tricked scientists worldwide into hiding scientific evidence of creation by:

    1. Changing astronomy textbooks that showed the interior of the Sun was mostly iron (Fe) in 1945 into mostly hydrogen (H) in 1946

    2. Changing nuclear textbooks that showed nuclear stability was given by Aston’s “nuclear packing fraction” before WWII to Weizsacker’s “nuclear binding energy” after WWII.

Both changes in the foundations of solar and nuclear physics are FALSE.

They allowed Stalin to hide from the public the fact that the Sun’s pulsar core:

    1. Made our chemical elements

    2. Birthed the entire solar system

    3. Sustained the origin and evolution of life on Earth

    4. Still controls every atom, life and world in the solar system, and the climate of each planet, in a volume of space that is now greater than that of 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 Earth’s!

I can relate. Until 2010 I had listened to NPR everyday for a quarter-century. I quit cold-turkey after I became disillusioned.

      • gator69 says:

I stopped listening to NPR gradually over the years. The Junior High School level of editing, the dry empty leftist rhetoric with street noise in the background, and elephants banging on drums and blowing trumpets (I sh*t you not). I stopped listening completely sometime around 1998, because it had been reduced to Progressive cheer-leading, with time wasting BS in between.

The international intelligence community is pretty sure Iran has already made enough bomb quality material for 8 nuclear bombs. Iran has now turned it’s focus on: 1) building a sustainable nuclear bomb making industry, and 2) building an intercontinental delivery system. The game is afoot and the U.S. negotiations were not about stopping Iran but from Iran’s point of view making sure that their nuclear program cannot be stopped. At this point I do not think they can be stopped with anything short of a massive invasion of Iran. That is not going to happen so within a few short years Iran will pass Korea and match China’s nuclear power. I also don’t think Iran’s mullahs will be able to resist the temptation to bring the 12th Imam out of hiding. So someday soon you will wake up to the news that Iran nuked Israel or some other hated target.

I think you may be guilty of more MicroAgression:

The comments at ZeroHedge are always worth the price of admission. Haw, haw, haw.

    • ZeroHedge is trivializing the science. Einstein may have said that “everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler” but some people don’t get it. How do we know these were microaggressions? How did they measure them? We need a scale and proper calibration. Some of the occurrences on ZeroHedge may have been nano- or even picoaggressions.

Let’s stick to peer-reviewed papers and real science:

The Racial and Ethnic Microaggressions Scale (REMS): Construction, Reliability, and Validity

      Nadal, Kevin L.

      Journal of Counseling Psychology, v58 n4 p470-480 Oct 2011

Racial microaggressions are subtle statements and behaviors that unconsciously communicate denigrating messages to people of color. In recent years, a theoretical taxonomy and subsequent qualitative studies have introduced the types of microaggressions that people of color experience. In the present study, college- and Internet-based samples of African Americans, Latina/os, Asian Americans, and multiracial participants (N = 661) were used to develop and validate the Racial and Ethnic Microaggression Scale (REMS). In Study 1, an exploratory principal-components analyses (n = 443) yielded a 6-factor model: (a) Assumptions of Inferiority, (b) Second-Class Citizen and Assumptions of Criminality, (c) Microinvalidations, (d) Exoticization/Assumptions of Similarity, (e) Environmental Microaggressions, and (f) Workplace and School Microaggressions, with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.912 for the overall model and subscales ranging from 0.783 to 0.873. In Study 2, a confirmatory factor analysis (n = 218) supported the 6-factor model with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.892. Further analyses indicate that the REMS is a valid measure of racial microaggressions, as evidenced by high correlations with existing measures of racism and participants’ feedback. Future research directions and implications for practice are discussed. (Contains 5 tables.)

Isn’t it interesting how in America if someone carelessly misspeaks about another race, religion, ethnic or gender/LGBT group — by mistake even, not just bullying — how the Dem PC Machine gets all knotted up and demands heads roll — while over in the Mideast the leaders of Iran can intentionally denigrate, bully and threaten other nations, religions, women, etc — and that same Dem machine ignores that? Worse, if the GOP Congress resists complying to the Iran nuclear agreement due to that nation’s hateful leaders, the Dems call those GOP leaders ugly names, too?
What we’re seeing is Dems’ true colors. They really admire Iranian oligarchs based on a fake religious manifesto, controlling the people and crushing their opposition. Power is what they really admire most, wherever they find it.

  9. Dave says:

It was interesting looking at the comments that people are allowed to post all kinds of phony claims, as long as they are against Republicans. One poster claimed Wisconsin had one of the worst GDP growth rates under Walker and that median income in Wisconsin was plummeting. I looked up the data and Wisconsin was middle of the pack, and while the growth rates were not great from 2010-2013 they were ahead of such “blue states” as Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

  10. Dave says:

It’s nauseating to see “journalists” like Steve Inskeep fawning over Obama like he is some kind of rock star. Especially after 6 years of a dismal presidency. I guess when you’re in love it takes a lot to shake you out of it.
