Eastern Arctic Sea Ice Extent Highest In 20 Years

The amount of sea ice in the eastern Arctic has rapidly increased over the past four years, and is higher than it wasย 30 years ago in 1985.

Meanwhile, the usual criminals in the press claim the exact opposite.

An easy way of identifying a climate criminal, is that they never correct any of their claims, and simply double down with their lies and fraud.

  1. Like all gamblers, the global warming alarmists have reached the end of their lucky streak and now rather than accept it was all pure fluke they got any statistics in their favour, they are like Obama and Clinton literally betting the house.

  2. bit chilly says:

never mind the reality of the situation on the ground steve ,the models are all showing it is worse than we thought. remember, cryosphere today area and piomas volume are all that matter. physical extent that can be physically seen and canadian sea ice charts are meaningless in this debate (hopefully no sarc tag needed ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

  3. omanuel says:

Cloudy, fall-like morning in Cape Girardeau!

  4. emsnews says:

This week will be like FALL. Cool.

We had this three week summer and the warmists went nuts. Now that it is cold again, they continue to whine about it being warm which is super scary. They really want an Ice Age.

    • AndyG55 says:

      Yep, they truly are moronic.

Some more warming, especially as it would occur in colder climates would be highly beneficial. Longer growing season, more fishing available in the Arctic, open ports in northern Canada and Russia.

Apart from going skiing, I wonder how many of them choose a warmer climate for holidays.

Heck even down here (NSW, Australia) the flux of people heading north in the summer holidays to the warmer beaches and climate is enormous. The traffic on the road north out of Sydney can be absolutely horrific.

Heading south.. not so many, although Tasmania is very nice in mid summer if you are into the wilderness and natural beauty type stuff.
Tassie in winter.. no thanks.. been there done that !

    • bit chilly says:

lucky you, i think we got a 3 day summer on the east coast of scotland . the sooner this global warming begins the better !

  5. beowulftoo says:

Hello Any notion where the Arctic Cruiselines are this summer. I think they are booking for 2016. Does that mean they are booked up for this year?

  6. Crashx says:

Now freezing temps are encroaching on the northern sections of the archipelago as the low elevation of the sun allows atmospheric attenuation to reduce the solar insolation to a trickle. The sun sets on the southern half up to ~73 N giving night skies a chance to do their work. The Greenland summit temp are dropping to below -20 C each night.

    Winter is coming!

  7. Climatism says:

Reblogged this on Climatism and commented:
Being part of the green faith means you are morally virtuous and therefore on the right side of the debate. No need to worry about warping the truth, lying or cheating, when it’s all for a ‘good cause’.

The Guardian’s queen bee climate criminal *Suzanne Goldenberg* knows how the game is played …

Meanwhile nature lands another heavy blow to the cult with the rapid growth (not loss) of Eastern Arctic sea ice. Ouch.

  8. Orthodox says:

    SJWs always lie.

  9. SunSword says:

If you want to know why the warmers have completely closed minds on this topic, research the concept of the egregor (also spelled egregore). To summarize: Any memetic pattern that has served as a focus for human emotional energy will build up an egregore of its own over time. The potency of the egregore is dependent upon the more energy that is put into such a pattern — such energy is based upon the amount of emotional attachment to the collection of memes which constitute the “body” of the egregore. Now a key point is that the egregore then maintains those belief patterns within the body of believers (in this case the warmists) even when contrary evidence appears that opposed that belief. The believers will continue to believe in their memes and become emotionally upset when those memes are opposed — because the egregore supplies the emotional feedback. As such, the believers cannot be argued (rationally and intellectually) into a new position because their beliefs are tied into their emotional attachments to their memes. They replace “thinking” with the memes that they hold, and will not break from them.

  10. Dmh says:

At the present pace the ice would be back to the levels of 1990’s and 80’s in 2-3 years. I believe this can really happen, due to lowering solar cycle in the coming years.

TRUTH IS BEING REVEALED ON 70th HIROSHIMA ANNIVERSARY

As reported today in comments on the end of WWII in Japan Times,

    http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2015/08/05/national/history/japan-times-reported-atomic-bombings-hiroshima-nagasaki/#.VcJm8Nm9Kc3

In August 1945 while standing in the ruins of Hiroshima, Kuroda correctly realized, “the birth of the world may have been just like this.”

In 1956, Kuroda predicted the natural nuclear reactor that was discovered in the Oklo uranium mine at Oklo in 1972.

In 1960, Kuroda reported decay products from extinct Plutonium-244 in Earth’s atmosphere.

In 1964, Marvin Rowe and Kuroda discovered decay products from extinct Plutonium-244 in the Pasamonte meteorite.

Later, Kuroda and Myers used the decay products from Uranium-238 and Plutonium-244 in the Earth, Moon and meteorites to show our chemical elements were made in a super-nova explosion five billion years (5 Ga) ago at the birth of the solar system.

For seventy years (1945-2015) truth about the Creator, Destroyer and Sustainer of atoms in the solar system has been hidden from the public.

  12. darrylb says:

    Repeating myself.
The Atlantic Multidecadel Oscillation appears to be ending its warm phase and is beginning to enter its cool phase.
Eastern Arctic increase in sea ice is one of several evidences of that. More evidence should be expected.

Also, SunSword—–thank you for your post. The term is new to me. The concept is what might be expected. Scientists (I use the term loosely) should not be susceptible to egregor.

  13. Andy says:

    That’s true

    http://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/

“Ice extent was at below average levels within the Kara, Barents, Chukchi, East Siberian, and Laptev seas, while extent was near average in the Beaufort Sea and the East Greenland Sea. Sea ice extent remained more extensive than average within Baffin Bay and Hudson Bay. While the ice extent remained overall higher than in 2012, this is largely a result of the higher extent within Baffin and Hudson bays.

What about all the other regions though ?

    http://nsidc.org/data/seaice_index/images/n_anom_hires.png

Most regions show less ice than average.

It will be interesting to see how the very fractured ice to the north of Alaska fares over the coming weeks. At the end of the melt season winds could play a larger part than usual on the extent due to this, both ways.

If the ice in Baffin bay and Hudson Bay continues to melt out and so does the diffuse ice, then ice loss in August could still be considerable.

    Andy
