Erasing The Tropical Age

In 1979, climatologists described the warm period from 1910-1960 as the “tropical age” – and said the extreme weather of the previous two decades was caused by global cooling.

“Drought, floods, the failure of monsoons and the run of hard winters are all evidence. they say, that the world has come to the end of a spell of even-tempered weather which began in about 1910 and lasted until about 1960. This period has even been called “a little tropical age” by one of the more quotable of climatologists. Professor Reid Bryson. What follows the tropics could be harder to live with — weather more typical of the 19th century or even of the “little Ice Age “which lasted between 1430 and 1850”

In 1989, NOAA’s Tom Karl said earth cooled from 1921 to 1979.

NASA now shows nearly half a degree warming from 1921 to 1979.

In 1961, there was unanimous consensus that earth was cooling, but NASA has erased that.

Front Page of the New York Times, July 18, 1970. US and Soviet scientists were worried about Arctic cooling and expanding Arctic ice, and wanted to melt the Arctic by spreading coal dust on it.

In 1972 “42 top American and European investigators” wrote a letter to president Nixon warning of a new ice age.

US thermometer data (before tampering by NOAA and NASA) shows that temperatures were much warmer from 1910 to 1960.

The National Climate Assessment shows that summers were much hotter in the US from 1910-1960.

Fire burn acreage was much higher from 1910-1960, which isn’t surprising because heatwaves are normally associated with drought.

There is a close correlation between heatwaves and burn acreage.

The White House wants people to believe that unless the government “takes action” – they will did in a heatwave or forest fire.

The actual data wrecks the climate emergency story, so the Biden administration has erased the pre-1983 fire data, because they say it wasn’t official.

Apparently they don’t consider the US Department of Agriculture to be official.

The real reason they deleted the pre-1983 data is because 1983 was the lowest burn acreage year, and by starting in 1983 they can make it look like burn acreage is increasing.

There is no correlation between CO2 and burn acreage, but by hiding the critical data the administration can deceive the public into accepting their destruction of the US energy industry.

On their first day in Office, Biden and Harris began this destruction of science, and called it “restoring science.”

Burn acreage in the US is down 90% since CO2 was at pre-industrial levels. The administration has also deleted this document.

    Great post, Tony! Thanks!

I recently noticed this too! I am a university professor and have been having my students plot fire data using NIFC data going back nearly a century. Earlier this semester that all changed as I saw they had made that data conveniently disappear! This knowledge and real evidence must get out to as many as possible and quick!

We don’t have a climate emergency but a new Midevil anti-science church seeking to reign in control of what the public can and can’t know!

  3. WxProf says:

Can you find an old screenshot of that NIFC page and what it used to look like just a few months back?

I recall they had a nice spreadsheet of burn acreage and number of wildfires nationwide – so my students would plot the data via Excel to get a nice chart.

Well they don’t have to ask themselves “why the blip?” any more.
    It’s gone. A miracle!

I (and other friends) have not been receiving your posts since about 23 April 2021. Your site shows I am subscribed . A mystery!

Are you any the wiser on why this may be the case?

    Cheers
