AND What did our great leaders and defenders of the environment do?? Build so many dam windmills & solar arrays so they can make a profit with subsidizes from USG
the last cold snap proved wind and solar wont work- now killing millions of birds and bats for no good reason- takes 350 wind mills to equal 1 clean coal plant- dozens of wood biofuel plants consuming 1/4 acre of wood per hour – glad i have a gas generator – getting another 15Kw to run off my diesel tractor PTO at 1/2 gallon per hour
As a boy, I lived in West Texas, out around Odessa, in the early 1950’s. Saying it was hot in the Summer is an understatement! There were few, if any, air conditioners around. We survived by using electric fans. It was still hot, but at least it dried the sweat off your brow. As I said, we survived. People are getting too soft. Humans survived for thousands (millions?) of years WITHOUT AC! Now, we seem to think it’s the end of the world if it gets hot in the SUMMERTIME! Suck it up!
Does anyone else who grew up in West Texas remember swamp coolers?
This is not “one of the hottest summers on record” for Texas. What a load of crap. We’ve had a very rainy summer and that has kept it rather cool, this being the coolest summer I’ve seen since moving to Texas 4 years ago. And I know 10 years ago, large parts of Texas had 100 days in a row of 100F+ temps. Most days this summer have been 80-90F and wet.
