Here in middle Tennessee, we “might” finally see a 100F degree day on Tuesday, maybe. It has been since 2012 since we have had a 100F degree day. That is the longest stretch in the HCN record without a 100F degree day, going back to 1890. On average, we should be seeing a 100F degree day 2 out of every 5 years.

Minneapolis did have their first 90° day of the year today. they were 90 for about 10 minutes. it missed a top 10 latest in the season 90 degree day by one day. but strangely, in the top 10 list, they don’t count the three years in the past that we never hit 90. the most recent being 1993.

Just finished Judith Curry’s book: “Climate Uncertainty and Risk”. Excellent.
I appreciate her because of my background in Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture, and Decision Making under Uncertainty. Curry does a great job of explaining how ridiculous our approach is. In this way, her arguments are complimentary to Bjorn Lomborg’s in his book “False Alarm”.
In reading these books, the one thing that stands out is that the Climatistas are NOT trying to honestly determine if climate problems will exist, and how to approach the problems.
I think all readers of this blog understand that the mission of the Climatistas is to gain power and wealth through rhetorical devices to create a narrative, and to use nudging (see UN Climate Nudging Document) and Fear Porn to steer us to a Single Point Solution which will enrich them and force Wind and Solar upon us.
Of course, just ask who owns the investment in Wind and Solar? Sierra Club? Yup. Earth Justice? Yup. Michael Shellenberger exposes this in his book “Apocalypse Never”. Another mandatory read.

Judith Curry was ostracized for criticizing the unwarranted absolute certainty of the AGW dogma, suggesting that the phenomena concerned were too complex to justify such certainty. She didn’t suggest that the theory was wrong (which it is) but even the slightest doubt cannot be tolerated by the Holy See. There is a consensus among true believers that AGW presents a real danger, so heretics and infidels are naturally excluded from the ‘consensus’.
