The Thing Of The Past

In 2007, scientists said Mt Snowdon in Wales would be snow free by 2020

“Snowdon will be snow-free in 13 years, scientists warn”

“The warnings come three months after Scottish scientists warned that their country’s ice-capped peaks would become a thing of the past.”

the ONLY Way snow will end in UK is if the LEFTIES sell it to Arabs for water

  2. Gamecock says:

“Snowdon will be snow-free in 13 years, scientists warn”

“Journalists shove words into scientists mouths” probably more accurate. Scientists tend to state facts; journalists like to spice up facts for publication, hence “warn.”

‘But Snowdon may lose its snow cover within 13 years as a result of climate change, Welsh scientists say.’

Journalists change this to “scientists warn.”

      Nope !
Sorry, you’ve got this all backwards.
Since Al Gore became “climate czar” for Clinton in 93, he began, which has since continued globally, the direction of government funds (via research grants, and government salaries) to Only those scientists, universities and government employees like NOAA, NCAR, NWS, NHC to name just a few, who support through conclusions and official statements, the (false) narrative that CO2 emissions are causing GloBull Warming (or climate change, or extreme weather).
It’s the scientists – not the journalists – perpetuating this lie, because they have to, because their careers, their reputations, their very livelihoods depend on it.
Moreover, once they’ve made public statements and/or published papers in journals supporting the lies, they can’t Ever walk them back let alone retract them.
What would they say – “oops, we were wrong, sorry.” Do you think they’d admit they’ve been lying for 30+ years ?
Nope, the scientists ARE the problem – they have been completely corrupted by the same thing that corrupts most people exposed to it – Money.
And sadly, the few who have stood up to it, and not taken the money, have been slowly retiring and dying off , and there are only a few left still trying to get the truth into the mainstream. With Trump in office again, this is the last chance we have to combat this fraud. I only hope we can finally stamp it out.

      • Gamecock says:

        Problems with reading comprehension, GW?

        • GW says:

Your statement says journalists are putting the words into scientists mouths, ie. it’s not the scientists lying but the journalists. But it’s not the journalists; they’re just parroting the lies of the scientists.
So no, it’s not my reading comprehension, it’s your communication skills. Or lack thereof.

Well, it probably lost its snow cover within 13 ( an odd number to choose) years. It probably lost its snow cover that very summer as the winter climate changed into the summer climate.

    Another Manntastic forecast;-}

What trick do you expect Phil Jones et al to conjure up to get rid of all evidence of snowfall since 2000?

  4. Disillusioned says:

We have gotten 12 inches of the ‘thing of the past’ since Saturday. With these low temperatures (caused by global warming/climate change), it is sticking around longer than usual. And more to come on Friday. At my age I cannot muster any nostalgia for this ‘thing of the past’ which keeps raising its ugly head.

  5. Tel says:

They have been trying for decades to convince people that the ski industry would shut down … but every single prediction has been wrong. That of course hasn’t stopped them from repeating the same wrong predictions, presumably hoping to achieve the broken clock award.

If you predict Doomsday enough times, then sooner or later you will be right at least once.
