I haven’t noticed any increase in vegetable prices in the store… but maybe that’s coming. a new story on what may have caused the spike in wholesale vegetable prices at this link… https://www.marketplace.org/story/2025/08/14/why-did-wholesale-vegetable-prices-shoot-up. fyi they don’t seem to know. it gives several reasons … it could be climate change it could be tariffs it could be a lack of workers to harvest the crop because they’re afraid to go to work because they’re thinking ICE might pick them up and send them back to their Homeland, but it also states that these huge fluctuations happen often and are often temporary. on another note The Drudge website is very negative all things Trump. some say it’s because Matt Drudge no longer runs it and some Lefty guy runs it now. I used to check the Drudge report four times a day years ago, now I check it a couple times a week. FYI, the new Drudge report is. citizensfreepress.com.

I buy more and more from the farmer’s market. The price might be a little higher than the grocery store, but the vegetables are, in general, fresher.

    • Disillusioned says:

I am only concerned about the cost of beef. Pork and chicken are better priced, but not quite as healthful – although leaps above/healthier than vegetables. I no longer put plant toxins into my body and I am much healthier for it. Eliminating plants’ natural defense chemicals from my diet has been like discovering the fountain of youth, so I no longer eat BigAg kibble, let alone fresh from a farmers’ market.

People who feed their pets raw meat, their cats and dogs live to 20 yers, they don’t get the human diseases which pets get from being fed BigAg kibble.

There are no salads or vegetables depicted on cave painting/drawings. There is a reason for that. There is no plant humans or their pets need to eat to survive; early man knew what was the healthiest foods to eat. They were hunters. Berries were a treat, but not the staple. They killed their meals. They were a foot taller than the agricultural revolution humans who ate mainly grains and vegetables. The bodies unearthed have had all their teeth, as opposed to the agricultural revolution mummies, whose teeth were rotted.

I was a heavy plant eater most of my life. And, I was a juicer. I have a few expensive juicers I need to sell on ebay. I will never use them again. I now do the opposite of what our doctors tell us all to do. My BP is now normal, and all my gout and arthritic pain have completely disappeared. Forego all the plant toxins. And live longer.

I watch Alone, and it seems that even people who are skilled hunters and survivalists tend to starve to death. I assume in a situation where a team hunts, they would do way better.

        • Disillusioned says:

Yes, in the cave drawings, I have seen depicted a few hunters with their bow and arrow, hunting down their next ruminant meal. They didn’t starve to death because they ate food that had a face. They thrived because of it – they were eating what the human body is designed to eat.

In your ‘survivalist’ scenario, they would only starve because they didn’t eat – deer, elk, wild boar, rabbit, fish, shrimp or crab, etc. Yep, if you don’t eat, you will starve.

OTOH, vegans are starving for nutrition as they are cramming their bodies with food designed for prey. And they are having to supplement with vitamins and minerals, because they are eating what prey eat.

Humans are predators. I eat like a lion. I no longer eat what prey eat. I am the healthiest I have ever been.

… one more thing… every Thursday night in the summer, Sauk Rapids Minnesota has an outdoor band at a park alongside the Mississippi River. very scenic with good attendance. for the past two days it’s been predicted that today would be a rain out. didn’t happen. even 6 hours before the event today it was predicted to be a rain out. didn’t happen. luckily enough people have seen how inaccurate weather forecasts are and the show went on and we all had a great time!

Putin’s in Alaska. wouldn’t this be a good time for his enemies to have a coup in Moscow? then again maybe we get somebody who’s worse.

Hurricane Erin goes from a category 1 to a category 5 in short order and CNN declares its due to global warming. https://www.cnn.com/2025/08/16/weather/hurricane-erin-track-strengthening-atlantic-climate

    • conrad ziefle says:

It actually might be due to localized global warming. Anything, any news station says about global warming, aka climate change, is pure voodoo. Even if climate change is real, the news channels will misrepresent it completely. They are completely worthless. Musk should buy one and turn it in a showcase of real journalism, just so that humanity can see what information was like pre-propaganda.
