So Starmer’s view is that whatever is happening in the UK regarding immigration, the cause is “climate change” and not anything whatsoever his Government or any foreign Government is or is not doing. It seems all politicians think this way. Newsome in California thinks that climate change is responsible for fires in his state and not poor or nonexistent forest management, understaffed fire departments, insufficient water supply and poor building codes. “Climate change” is the all-purpose fall guy for any problems they are having. How nice for these people. They can go home at night and sleep well knowing that any unaddressed problems are above their pay grade.
I remember how disease caused by malnutrition and poor living conditions were attributed to some non-existent bacterium (pellagra comes to mind). Also how vaccines were credited with eradicating diseases which had all but disappeared due to improved sanitation before the vaccines were deployed. There ‘s nothing like pseudo-science to let the politicians off the hook, and make huge profits into the bargain.

I always wondered what the far right should be, because the opposite to collectivism would be individualism. Both Communism and Nazism are forms of collectivism, and Hitler was reputed as saying that he could convert a Bolshevik in 6 weeks, but not an independent, ever.
