Drought In New York Has Declined Dramatically In Frequency And Severity

New York used to suffer regular severe droughts prior to the 1970s, including a nearly catastrophic one during the 1960’s. They almost never have droughts any more.

    I will never forget the 1960’s. The golf courses were so dry and baked out that I once cold topped a 7 iron and it rolled 150 yards up onto the green and stopped close enough to the hole for a tap in birdie.
