Will This Winter Match 1962?

1962 was the harshest winter on record in the UK, and was due to lack of CO2 and global cooling. A lot of parallels are being made for this winter, with some speculating that it may be as severe as the 1962 event.

The important distinction of course being that the harsh winter this year is due to all that extra heat being trapped by CO2. Every good follower of Jim and Al knows that widespread cold is a sure sign of extra heat in the climate system.

Furthermore, when climate scientists talk about warming, snow loss and decreasing snow extent, what they really mean is lots of excess snow at low latitudes.
